I'm really sorry for making this thread -

But I've been reading a lot about people claiming creatine can speed up / start up hair loss.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I have very thick hair - don't have family history of hair loss and creatine works SUPER well for me. I shoot up 12lbs after a month on it.

But I'm so worried about this hair loss stuff.

Please comfort me fit.

its a meme u dip

I know there's a lot of memes about creatine, but this one actually seems to have a lot of people backing it up.

even the hodge twins claim it caused hair loss for them
>>
It boosts testosterone, if you have hairloss related to high test, ofc it will go quicker with creatine, if not, you're safe.
>>
>>35142658
according to everyone, it doesn't boost test
>>
someone plz
>>
>>35142643
So what constitutes evidence for you is a lot of anecdotes?

And you come to /fit/ to validate that "evidence"?

M8 maybe read a book.

I was thinking of making this thread for months now, I'm in the same boat as you OP. Unlike you though, I have a familial history of hair loss, so I stopped taking it. Hair loss is probably all broscience, but until a study comes out disproving it I just can't will myself to take it. Not like it'll expire anyways. Feels bad man
>>
All bs aside. Creatine does some whack shit to dry your scalp. You won't go bald. But you could lose hair taking it.

its not a meme, jesus fit is full of retarded kids that think calling everything a meme makes them superior. why are all millennials so fucking retarded?

TLDR creatine affects male hormones, namely DHT, which causes hair loss.
>>
>>35143065
Well that's it. No creatine for me.
>>
>>35143065
but some people say the study was flawed and it won't really lead directly to hairloss etc

please convince me to take it /fit./
>>
>>35143112
lmao ok enjoy your creatine assisted hairloss, then we'll see who's "flawed" :)
>>
>>35143112
take it then
>>
>>35143065
actual science? on my /fit/?

>why are all millennials so fucking retarded?

Unless you're like 40, you are a millennial. Millennials were born between 1980 and 2000.
>>
>>35143065
There was an anon who had a convincing argument that this study was flawed, although I forgot his points. Also I might have been high.
>>
>>35143065
Jokes on you, I'm bald already.
>>
>>35142593
Creatine makes you lose hair if you're already predisposed to losing hair. If it would have started in your 40s and your on Creatine it will start now.
I took Creatine for 3 months and I lost hair on my temples.
Call it a meme or bioscience if you want but this is what happened to me.
>>
>>35143601
did it grow back? some people claim they've lost hair on creatine and it grew back within a year after stopping
>>
I always thought they were just talking about "creatine", while meaning juice
>>
>>35143638
no lol
>>
>>35143112
>>35143182

Small sample size, too short of a test period, and five times the dose most people take. Creatine does increase DHT, but not by that much if you're only taking 5g/day.
>>
does protein powder cause hairloss?
>>
>>35144591
Yes
>one scoop = no hair
>>
>>35143169
Then what are people born between 2000 and the present called?
>>
>>35143065
>>35143601
Can confirm this op, not sure if I was predisposed to hairloss but after steadily taking it through high school I've now lost a good amount off the top, have to get real short haircuts so it's not noticeable, I'm on borrowed time.
>stay natty
Hairloss slows down after you stop taking it but you don't grow back any hair
