So, what's up with sugar? How much is too much, and is it really as evil as people make it out to be?

Basically, red-pill me on sugar

>the current year
>consuming the sugary jew
there, red pill'd

No, it's not evil. It's like any other good you can consume. Most western diets contain "too much" sugar, particularly refined sugar & corn-derived sugar. Corn syrup is cheap because government subsidizes its production. Cheap sugar means more food manufacturers put it into their products (because sugar tastes good, and people buy more shit if it tastes good).

Eat a diet consisting of mostly whole, unprocessed foods, and you'll be fine.

How much would be a good amount to aim for? >100 g/day? >50 g/day?
>>
>>35141592
No more than 200 grams per day

no. it's even worse.

You can get away with it if your calories balance out and you're otherwise healthy, but you're always (100% of the time) better off cutting sugar completely.

So since sweet potatoe, one of the healthiest foods there is, contains 1g of sugar per serving I should not eat it. Ok.
>>
>>35142253
I think he means refined and processed sugars

>he thinks when people say 'sugar' they mean natural sugars found in fruits/veggies instead of the fuckton added sugars in processed foods
>>
Funny how all the people I know who demonize sugar are all fatties.
Enjoy continuing to justify fried chicken with 'its got dat der protein in it'
>>
>>35142303
fried chicken usually has a lot of added sugar too
>>

If you're going to eat or drink anything with processed sugar in it, either man made or animal made.
It needs to be with honey.
Honey has some justification as it has antioxidants, is not as harmful for you, and has trace amounts of local pollen that can boot your respiratory immune system.

That being said, it is still harmful for you.
in a list though from worst sugars for you to "best" sugars for you.
>processed sugar
>brown sugar
>coconut sugar
>cane sugar
>honey

If you are eating a lot of processed/brown sugar you are just fucking up your metabolism.
