Does running daily increase your metabolism?
Cutting seems fucking impossible
Metabolism as you think of it is a myth. It's nothing more than the energy required to keep you alive (breathing, maintaining mean mass etc) plus the energy you burn in daily activities (running lifting walking).
So yes. But not for some magic reason.
>cutting seems impossible
how do i know your obese af?
and as far as running goes itll burn calories so yes do it.

Cutting is much easier when you're fat as fuck
I'm guessing OP is just skinnyfat.
Do PSMF opie
Running burns about 100 kcal per mile depending on speed and how in shape you are. It's more than lifting, but it's not like you can pig out or anything.
i cant do distance running. its too boring.
i'm going to start doing HIIT sprints
I use to be obese af
I've lost alot of weight but I did it too fast/wrong
now I still have a gut and manboobs but skinny skeleton everywhere else
how do I fix this?

Count your calories
>COUNT YOUR CALORIES
COUNT YOUR FUCKING CALORIES

>100 kcal per mile
Are you 120 lbs?
It burns more than that for the average (non-Amerifat) man. Not a whole lot more, but it does make a difference.
Also it does not depend on speed, only distance and weight (technique too but we'll discount that since it is a very difficult thing to judge). Walking depends on speed, distance, and weight (yes, walking is mechanically different).
If you ran a mile in 8 minutes vs. 6 minutes, it's still the same amount burned. Unless you mean two people running for the same time but different speeds, then of course the faster one would burn more.

You didn't do it too fast.
>now I still have a gut and manboobs but skinny skeleton everywhere else

This isn't due to speed or "doing it wrong."
You still have manboobs and a gut because you are still fat. Simply not being Amerifat (obese) does not mean you're not still fat.
You fix it by either:
A) having actual muscle
B) not being fat
I would suggest a bit of both. You are so untrained at the moment that you could probably successfully build muscle and lose fat at the same time for quite some time.

Sorry brah but you're still fat. For guys their gut is usually the first place to gain weight and the last to lose it. Either lift or deal with being a fat skele. Or I suppose you can just keep cutting until you reach actual skeleton mode.
OP if that's your ass then please don't lose it when you cut.

OP i lost a lot more fat when I started running 2-3miles a day than when I did twice as much on the bike. I also feel a lot better after I run than other forms of cardio (tho stairs are fun and feel good too).
so to answer your question: the anons in this thread are scientifically right, but as far as you should be concerned, YES running speeds up how you feel and weight loss which = metabolism as far as you are concerned!
