Once in a thread, I told a portion of my story, one that pertained mostly to my situation at the time. I have never been one to feel sorry for myself, but every time I do, I look at this screencap from the thread. I realize no matter how hard what I go through seems, someone else thinks it is easy, and no matter how easy what I do is, someone else thinks it is hard. Make sure you keep going. I was at 104kg's of lazy fat in November last year. I was also on the verge of killing myself (a stranger actually interrupted the act).

It's 6 months and change later and I'm at 77kg's.

I still have a lot of problems (A LOT) to sort out. But I can't tell you how immeasurably better life has gotten from my perspective. And I don't mean stupid petty shit, like girls mirin' (though it's nice), or being able to wear normal clothes and shit. But the biggest thing was seeing myself change, physically in the mirror and photographs over the last few months.

Knowing that once I pushed past that initial hurdle of doubt and self pity and all that other shit, that I would wake up in a few months radically physically changed, just from forcing myself to keep going through those rough few weeks/months.

It helped me have a completely new outlook on life, once that I haven't had since I was in my early teens. Basically cementing this abstract concept of setting a goal and reaching it. Actually doing it was more motivating than anything I have ever read. And trust me, I was plagued by self doubt at the beginning. I figured I would never lose the weight. It would never happen. I'd revert to being a fat shit. Now it's the opposite, I keep getting excited about taking the next step and the next step to being a better me. I couldn't even imagine that 7 months ago.

So whatever you do dude, make sure you fight really, really hard to make it through the beginning. To hold on and ride it out, because it actually gets easier and easier once you build momentum.

I told everyone I was going to be a doctor. I was going to go to Stanford, already accepted before my senior year in HS was over. Getting all A's, captain of the academic decathlon team, 1600 on SAT score (when 1600 was max), etc. etc.
And then I don't know what happened. Failed out of a community college instead of going to Stanford for some reason. Just barely started going back to school 2 years ago (am 28 now) but all that fucking wasted potential. I feel like I can't face anyone from before, not even my grandparents.
