I finally got the girl.
She lifts, she's clever and she likes me for who I am.

But I've come to realise that making it isn't about getting a qt, or getting huge, or hitting 1/2/3/4.
Making it is a mindset. A philosophy.
It's realising that you are capable of waking up every morning a better person than you were the day before.

40kg deadlift increase in a month when switching from conventional to sumo.

No. Sumo is allowed in powerlifting competitions.
The reason why you don't see it, is because most powerlifters are manlets who would benifit more from conventional.

I started training sumo as an accessory to my conventional, I do them on separate days

a few months into sumo it has surpassed my conventional for reps and for E1rm, but my actual 1rm on conventional is much higher

Thinking of switching from my current gym, which is kinda run down, to the local YMCA which is a bit better setup.

It's been awhile since I was at one, are they still infested with kids? How about the weight room? Surely they're not in there

i go to a YMCA and its not that bad. Yes, its infested with kids but thats only on the first floor for my facility. The entire second floor is a gym where barely anyone goes besides cardio bunnies and a few nice older people. I can go to the gym before class sometime between 6am-10am and be alone in the weightlifting area. For me, from 3-6pm is the time to best avoid the gym. Thats when it fills up with people coming from work and other things (which doesnt bother me because im usually on campus or at work during that time). It depends on how populated your YMCA usually is though. Hope I helped.

The y is ok, mine is pretty crowded though. There are only 2 squat racks and 2 flat benches, so it gets pretty crowded. There is always someone waiting to use either one and there are never enough barbells for everyone. Make sure to check the weight room at your local Y before you sign up.

the entire pec contracts on any pressing motion. you can just favour a certain area over another depending on angle. incline does hit it but poorly in comparison to decline or dips

I'm suck of lurking on and off instead of sticking to one routine. I'm sick of going on the internet endlessly until all I'm doing it is sleeping and eating. My ass is flat from sitting on my ass all day and my stomach has a beer belly but I don't drink any alcohol. The rest is just skin and bones

I need to do something about my health. I've read the sticky many times but all I have are adjustable dumbells (up to 50lb ea) that I bought but never really used. Most of the gyms are far away nor do I have any flow of decent cash anyway.

Also a diet plan would be helpful, I have no clue what to buy to eat. I saw keto diet but everything is all over the place to eat. Junk food was never a problem I just don't eat well. What three main meals do you guys eat anyway?

2. Get a cookbook on Keto food cooking, you really can't have not enough money to cook keto, most ingredients for Keto are cheap
3. Save for a bench (bench press bench) that can adjust in angle and with the Dumbbells you should have a variety of exercises you can do
