So /fit/ why are y'all so dumb and don't get on /biz/ level by saving a bunch of money my making your own pills?? Not to mention the money saved, I also get go try out combinations with herbs/spices I can't take on the reg to stay healthy

After stalling out on my pullups and OHP I've decided to try out unilateral lat pulls and shoulder presses, and holy shit what a strength difference.
Normally my pull-ups stall at 3 sets of decreasing reps (10,8,4-6) at a BW of 190lbs. I was able to pull 130lbs for 3x12 on each side.
My OHP was 1pl8 for a 5 rep max, but I was able to press 80lbs on each side for 3x10.
What fucking sorcery is this?
Anyone else tried that? Did you find noticeable improvements?

What is a calisthenics regimen that will give me the body of Groundskeeper Willie?

Inb4 "read the sticky". I did, Im looking for specifically as close to this with calisthenics/without equipment as possible. Of particular interest is working on my back without weights.

So over the last month and a half i're started to run and just starting lifting for the first time in years. I've already dropped about 30 pounds but some friends say that i'm not eating enough. With my meal prep I eat about 800 calories a day of meats, vegetables, and complex carbs. The only carbs that I eat are sweet potatoes and oats. Am I eating enough daily or should I keep on this track until I get to my desired body weight?

I can curl 35 lb dumbbells no problem with seemingly strict form. I try really hard not to cheat with my shoulders or by swinging or bouncing the dumbbell.

Recently I tried curling a barbell and it is SO much harder. I can only do reps up to 50 lbs with both arms at once and it leaves my biceps screaming. Is barbell really that much better for isolating biceps or what?

Imo barbell curls highlight imbalances like no other. Even assuming your form is good, you'll get to a point in the set where one arm takes over. Try preacher barbell curls focusing on maintaining even tension throughout both biceps for the whole movement and then going to concentration curls to try to knock out any remaining imbalances.
Tldr; if your biceps are perfectly even do them provided your forms good

your body has to brace to lift 70lbs rather than 35lbs on one side.


also, cheat curl (without exaggerated lean back) is beneficial too because it allows you to work a strict form negative at a higher weight

So I've decided that I am going to be eating healthy from now on, as I wish to get the benefits of getting the right nutrients on a daily basis. The only problem I have is, I don't know what food to eat in order to get all the nutrients I need every day. I'm also not planning on taking any supplements.
