I have no idea where to start when it comes to workout drinks. I'm 5'10, 237 lbs. I've started lifting weights 2 weeks ago. I finally got over a lot of my muscles being extremely sore.
I just want something that won't contribute to my overweight, but will help boost my energy and muscle recovery. Also maybe I can take it with a small lunch to help drop weight? I simple don't know.
I'm not hoping to become a body builder, I just want something to help with my workout while I continue to lose my fat belly and do some weights.
I am grateful for any help.
what you're looking at is basically either a scam or so full of sugar or just a plain waste of money.
There is no magic drink that'll make you last forever in the gym, or that will take away soreness.

Pretty much what this guy said except I would recommend getting a good protein shake. It doesn't really matter if it's pure whey protein or a blend with caseine so long as it has at least 20% whey I think. It'll help keep you more full and preserve the muscle you have (though it doesn't sound like you have much so you're most likely experiencing noob gains anyway so the protein is important for a different reason)
Long story short increase your protein intake to help with the weight loss and maybe throw in a caffeinated beverage or pill for energy before a workout.

Some people swing with the kettlebell just under the testicles, and some people swing it lower.
Which is the proper way? Just under the testies seems to be easier.
The lower you go, the larger the ROM. That said, the lower you go, the more momentum is being used as well. It can be made easier or harder depending on how you perform it. But you could skip these altogether. Want to isolate glutes and hamstrings? Barbell glute bridges. Way safer and less cheating.

Today I discovered something. I can now do 5 pull ups, perhaps even more if I try, with correct form. Before I could do 6 or more with shit tier form, and when I tried correct form, I got like 2.
Also when I fixed my form, I found out that I couldnt do wide grips, couldnt even bring myself up. Now I can do 3 wide grips.
Besides that, my skills in soccer improved greatly since I started practicing (on my own). Played today with a group of friends and did some shit I previously could only dream of doing
And last but not least, I can now do the L-sit. Previously I couldnt, lacked the core strenght needed to stabilize my legs. Now I can do it perfectly!
Im happy /fit/. Its not much, but progress is progress.

I think I found a reason to keep going again...

When I walked into the gym today I asked a younger man if he was done because he had half the bar empty. He was doing deadlifts and I assumed he was unloading so I asked him, I thought he said yes and I told him I would get the other side. When I finished squatting he immediately resumed deadlifting and when I asked if he was actually done he told me that he thought he would just let me use it since I'm bigger. He told me he was just maxing out any at 185lbs sumo deadlift. Half feels nice, half feels like I'm a dick.

The other day I went to my gym's freeweight section. I watched some shitcunt leave his 45lb dbs that he just got done using for bench on the floor. I looked at him after and just said, "Five minutes, don't make me tell you again."
