So /fit/, I saw some pictures someone took of me at a park recently and what happens is, my posture is shit. I have a goddamn hump. My shoulders are so high they're only a few centimeters away from touching my ears. It's real bad. So what's a good tried and true stretching routine I can use to fix this?

No.
You can't make your life better by working out.
You make your body/strength better by working out.

Stop thinking its a priority or a magical fix or key way or life.

It won't be the only thing you need. That much is evident just reading posts here. Still, it has its advantages.

You're right, the only benefits to working out are:
A healthier body- less medical bills
Better mood- better relationships
More energy
More attractive - More opportunities (relationship, career)
Positive hobby
Lowers stress levels
>>
You're right. Being healthy, learning discipline and routine, and getting in the habit of practicing form and skill are not transferable at all and are a complete waste of time

This dude that goes to my gym does 3 - 4 hour full body workouts at least 6 days a week maybe 7 days. Is this safe? How the fuck is he doing this?

it's safe, it's retarded, it's zero gains & waste of time and he probably fucks around for 80% of the time

are you there for 3-4 hours and watch him?

If not start using your fucking brain and stop believing people who try to claim the special snowflake award.

Hes either not training hard enough and/or on steroids, more realistic: hes lying to you so you think whatever he looks like is pretty much the result of 4 hours of gym a day lel.

>make something at home

OR

>go to the nearest mcdonalds (30 minute walk back and forth) and grab a couple mcdoubles for those sweet sweet gainz.

why is this even a question? mcdoubles are empirically the most nutritious food on the planet, with this knowledge doing anything else at this point would be massively gay.

>>
>>34542607
Do lateral raises "wrong" and your lats will grow. I speak from experience.

Does anybody know of any good upper body form vids specifically for lanky fucks like me for main lifts?

I've had pinched nerves in my shoulders and elbows from lifting in the past and I think it has a lot to do with my form but I don't know how else to do my lifts correctly because I'm lanky bastard with giant wingspan.

Also personal experience from you other 6'2''-6'5'' masterrace dudes that have made it would be helpful.

inb4 read the sticky, lmgtfy, etc.

OP here. The one site I've found that seems to be helpful is here:

http://bonytobeastly.com/ectomorph-weightlifting/

I understand that strong core stabilizers are and important foundation for heavy lifts, but as I read the article it seems to imply that a lot of the pull lifts require using your back and this just seems opposite of conventional heavy lifts form, i.e. using your back for heavy deads. Am I wrong about this?
>>
>Tfw 5'11 manlet with long monkey arms

So honestly for lanky dudes it's not as bad as you're making out - you have bigger ROM, but also far more capacity to put on muscle. Your wilks won't be as pretty but who cares really, you can still get far stronger in total weight lifted than smaller guys, generally, so long as you're prepared to go up the weight classes

I'm long limbs short torso, which is basically like being tall except you're not, and these cues all helped me in the PL days:

bench: narrower grip, maybe just outside shoulder width, bring bar to just under solar plexus, use less arch

squat: wider stance, more external rotation in hips, and focus more on keeping tension in hamstrings and glutes than using hip flexor stretch reflex

deadlift, personally I pretty much only conventional, but you should generally be decent regardless as long as you really focus on keeping the bar straight up and down, tight lats, chest up, etc.

Looking for some general advice/ constructive feedback on my lift routine. Just went back to the gym in over a year and a half. I've been tracking my caloric intake and working on healthier eating since July now, and am ready to take the next step in changing my lifestyle with regular exercise. I'm 5'9'', 330 lbs, 23 and f. The weights I chose seemed to fit the advice I've seen on here, light enough to handle multiple sets, but heavy enough where I can definitely feel the strain and ache in my muscles.

I start with 15-20min of cardio to warmup.

I use dumbells for these:

-Biceps Curl- 3 sets, 5 reps, 10lbs
(I do 3 sets of full curls, 3 sets of bottom half, and 3 sets of top half)
-Shoulder Press- 3 sets, 5 reps, 10lbs
-Front Lateral Raises- 3 sets, 5 reps, 5 lbs

And machines for these:

Triceps Pushdown- 3 sets, 10 reps, 60lbs
Leg Extension- 4 sets, 5 reps, 55lbs
Leg Curls- 4 sets, 5 reps, 100lbs
Leg Press- 3 lbs, 10 reps, 70lbs

***If you're wondering why I use machines for legs instead of doing squats, it's because I have a bulged disc in my lower back near my tailbone. I injured it last year while working. I since then went to a doctor to have it healed, but it's sensitive now and I have to be careful and take steps not to injure it further. I've tried doing squats in the past with just my own body weight, but this still seems to be too much for me to handle. I've asked for advice on this here before and I was given the suggestion to do the above exercises for my legs.

Hey /fit/, about to seriously start my winter bulk, running mk-677 for 3 months to up my appetite, and I already have a meal plan set in place at 4000 ovals/day.

My question is, would I benefit from SS or 5x5 during my bulk? Since I'm bulking I'm not really worried about abs or traps or shit, I just want to up my lifts as much as I can. I've been doing my bro-split for a while now, and I've had good results, but I'm stalling right now and want to try something new?

I guess my question is: Is SS a meme for experienced lifters? I'm not advanced by any means but I'm pretty much out of noob gains at this point.
