OH my fucking god. Hello /fit/ hungry fucking skeleton here. Im 6'4, just under 170(I used to be 160 a few months ago so its an improvement) and I've been trying to eat more since it appears that's the only way to actually get bigger. So in total I need to consume over 3000 cals just to gain a fucking pound. You guys know any way to simplify this process(literally consuming my fridge rn) or any methods to increase consumption. Also, cal consumption story thread I guess.

Thinking about doing it for a few weeks while I wait for my new bar and weights to arrive.
I did it. I used the 30/30 format instead 2x a day.
It's tough, mentally and physically, but definitely more mentally. I've done squat every day for a month and preferred that to this, but a lot of that came from the morning swings. Getting up every morning and doing interval sprint equivalents takes a lot from you mentally.
What happened? Turned my glutes back online, strengthened them, smoothed out my hip hinge and showed me where to work on stretching. Also saw a decent 4 pack for all of the last two days from the weight lost.
Can't not recommend it as effective.
I did it - pulled something in my lower back and hamstrings - terribly sore still after two days off. Must've been swinging too much weight, form must've been off but just swinging over and over an over it is mind numbing.

I have plantar faciitis. It fucking hurts, right there in the highlighted spot. I got it while training for a half marathon. I went to the chiropractor, he gave me some inserts and told me to get some Asics or New Balance shoes.
I've been doing that plus all the 'remedies' for about a month, I wear the night splint, I roll my foot with a frozen water bottle, all the stretches. I stopped running, but I've been trying to keep up with my cardio by using the elliptical. I'm still desperately grasping to the idea of running the half marathon on Dec 5.
But my facia still feels tight in that spot, and my heel feels tender. The only thing that actually feels good is literally walking on my toes, which is not supposed to be for the fascia at all. What the fuck, /fit/.
I don't want to give up, mang. I don't want to be that guy who just lifts. I'm commited to running this thing, but I also don't want to really fuck up my feet, becausd I want to snowboard this winter.

hey me too. Mine just started up last week, so it's only been a week but the pain's maybe gone from a 9 on the first 3 days to a 6 now.
I've been rolling with a lacrosse ball for 3 days with no luck, but my doctor should get back to me tomorrow so I'll see what she said. One thing that's helped has been to stretch the ankle and calf, and to try to stay off my feet as much as possible.
Mine's a little strange because the onset was nearly immediate and it gets worse the longer I'm on my feet rather than better.

Hey /fit/ what is the best shoe for comfort?
I'm walking on my feet for 12 hours a day at work busting my ass and I was wondering which shoe would be the best.
I heard people suggest Dr shoels shoes or Nike but I wanted your opinion.

I've heard Dansko is a good brand that's super comfortable if you're on your feet all day. It's made for nurses, but they make men's clogs as well.
Other than that I'd try New Balance.
What exercises give you the best chest pump? I can get a great pump on my legs and arms, but not chest. I've tried all bench and fly variations.
If anyone was wondering, I get my arm pump from supersetting triceps pushdowns and preacher curls, and my leg pump from weighted lunges after my squats.

I did weights for about 40 min every day, And I was considered "oberweight" at 5"7.5 and 170lb. I ran for 10 min to get my heart rate High, then I'd lift for an hour, under the supervision of my perfectionists BF. That was 6 years ago, and I now know that cardio matters more than resistance training for weight loss. Weight lifting is good for maintenance. I'm glad I stopped listening to him, he was a cheater and a DYEL. Though he had the strength and could actually lift more for his size.
