Can I get some tips on how to fix my deadlift form? I just hit a PR of 385 lbs today (I tried 4 plate after and failed).

I think my main problem is my hips come up too fast while the bar doesn't, so my back has to do more work. Any tips on how to fix this or other things I should change?

Looked to me it was all back. Your hips where way to high. Therefore you couldn't use dat hip drive. Work in lowering your hips. Squeeze the shit out of your glutes & hammies before you lift off. I eat this almost everyday, except I eat the vanilla flavor with dark chocolate chips. It is a dollar cheaper than the Chobani stuff and it tastes sweeter, so I like it better.

Anybody trying to get gains find it hard to increase how much they eat? How do you counter? Do you meal plan/food prep? Haven't tried either and find time management and cooking in bulk a bitch.

So today's my birthday...

I fucked up in all spheres of life, /fit/. I alienated myself from everybody, and I can't remember the last time I was happy. Only when I'm in the gym I feel at ease. I was planning on doing next year what I did for my 18th (Renting out a club, open bar etc) but I realised I never made that much social gains from doing it last time even though there were 250 people there.

If you've been lifting for over 2 years you're welcome to post in this thread

Advice for New lifters, well I've been lifting for nearly 3 years now, and I figured I'd give you guys a lowdown on what I've learnt

>Progress takes time

You need to understand that one year lifting is nothing, even two years isn't that much, there's no guarantee you'll be satisfied with your progress after just one year. Keep going. Lifting is a lifestyle, not something you do, get your results, and then stop

>The only three variables you need, Lift, Eat, Sleep

Luckily for you, there's only three things you need to do to gain the most muscle you can, namely train right, eat right and sleep right. Sleeping right is easy to do, get at LEAST 8 hours sleep per night

In terms of training, follow a strength routine with hypertrophy accessories, and include the following lifts: Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift, Dips, Pull ups, Strict Rows and OHP.

These lifts are literally all you need to build a balanced physique. A routine I'd recommend for beginners is either the Sheiko beginner routine or SS

In terms of diet, understand that if you don't want enough, you won't gain muscle. Simple as that. Hit your caloric requirements and protein needed (gram per lb) as a must. Understand that a long slow bulk and a long slow cut will ALWAYS grant better results than rushing things

>Lifting and Girls

Lifting alone won't get you girls, once you get to the point where you lift for yourself you can focus on your social skills to get girls. How do you get girls? It's just as simple as talking to them, having a proper conversation and asking them out. It's really not rocket science

Who else is freezing their balls to reap benefits?
