I sometimes do a 10km run before hitting the gym
unless you do legs or are weak you wont be fatigued
you might even feel stronger because its a hell of a warm up

Hey /fit/
I've been lifting on and off for about 5 years and I struggle ALOT with motivation, the past few years have been shitty, gained weight, one of my brothers has been in and out of jail, Dad pissed of somewhere, another of my brohers died, my girlfriend dumped me, I lost my job and I have been depressed for 1 year now.

So I'm looking for motivation to go back to the gym and for motivation to actually keep me going there.

If you got any helpfull advice /fit/ I'm all ears.

It's not about billing, it's about having the energy to keep up my lifting schedule. If I don't have at least a small caloric surplus I'm useless in the gym.

You're right about the meme though, no need to get truly fat to lift.

How about lifting?

Why am I so bad at deadlift? I started it 2 months ago, at about 85kg x5 due to shitty grip. Now I do about 90kgx4, and my grip isn't much better. I can squat more than that. I'm bulking, have been for a while, and all my lifts are increasing relatively quick except my deadlift.

Need help BAD!!!

I have tendinosis in my patella knee that is healing currently, and we just found out that I have 3 sets of tendinitis in my shoulder, biceps tendon long/short and supraspinatus. Anti-inflammatory meds like advil could help with this but it has been proven to work against tendinosis (my knee). So many studies say it hault the healing of the knee and could potentially harm it. I dont know what to fricken do...

"Studies show that NSAIDs can actually impede the healing process, which is the last thing needed with tendinosis. [17] Long-term use of NSAIDs for tendinosis is not a good idea, though they can possibly be helpful in the initial phase."

We have access to better equipment now. No longer do you have to carry around a milking cow that you gradually feed up for progressive resistance. That said Milo got an excellent education in lifting and nutrition from this so I wouldn't say it's better in all ways, just most of us can keep a barbell easier than a cow.

Take up a physical hobby you find interesting. Socrates was probably a stone mason and sculptor, so he was carrying around heavy block of marble and making them into things with almost his bare hands a lot of the time.

Epicurus has some food advice from what's left of his work. Grow your own stuff and eat with your mates. And Diogenes was meant to have had a superlative physique from his tough living which was incredibly minimal.

In contrast to what people say about pizza here too, this may have been a dish of these early philosophers. Parmenides that started everything was from what is now Salerno near Naples

As this guy, 5'9 149lbs. I had surgery 2 months ago and ill be ready to start lifting again soon but im incredibly week. I have quite the gut now too unfortunately and it's making me insecure. Looking at these pictures do you guys think I should cut or bulk? I still can't lift yet heavily because i have 3 tendinitis's in my shoulder and a tendinosis in my knee but im getting better hopefully. Just need advice on what I should do.
