How's your pain tolerance, /fit/? I just got my 6 yr old lil bro to gut punch and uppercut me a few times and they all hurt like hell. I can't even imagine how bad it'd feel if it was a full grown adult male hitting me.

Do I just keep letting my lil bro beat me until his punches feel like nothing then move up to my 11 yr old cousin punching me?

I'll tolerate pain very well but I've done sparring of muay Thai boxing and grappling for almost 3 years, anyway o thinks is something more mental than physical because since I can catch very well shots to the face or the body I still cry like a bitch when somebody slaps my back or when I hit my toe

My first and only fight was when me and my friends once got into a fight with a group of Mexicans at the mall once.

Students at the University of Maryland will have the chance to “engage fatness” next term as part of a “Fat Studies” course offered by the school's American Studies department.

“Introduction to Fat Studies” will not engage “fatness” as a social or medical problem, according to a syllabus for the course posted online. Instead, the course will approach fatness as “an aspect of human diversity, experience, and identity.”

The syllabus goes on to say that the course “will function as an introduction to the recent (and growing) field known as Fat Studies.” The field of Fat Studies, the syllabus claims, is “a field that is not concerned with the eradication of fatness, but with offering a sustained critique of anti-fat sentiment, discrimination, and policy.”

One assignment for the course requires students to read three articles with the tag “Fatshion” from xoJane.com, a website “where women go to be their unabashed selves.”

Another assignment requires students to “explore the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance site.” The NAAFA, according to its website, aims to “provide fat people with the tools for self-empowerment through public education, advocacy, and support.”

Other reading material for the course includes an article titled “My wedding was perfect – and I was fat as hell the whole time,” and the “Fat Liberation Manifesto,” which labels diet books, diet foods, and diet doctors as “special enemies.”

The syllabus also includes a quote from self-described “fat activist” Marilyn Wann, claiming that Fat Studies “requires skepticism about weight-related beliefs that are popular, powerful, and prejudicial.”

The instructor for the course is fourth-year Ph.D. student Cassy Griff, who claims to focus her work “on discourses of excess as they apply to fat and Latina/o bodies.”

Get a spotter if someone's there

If no one is around bench in the power cage with the safeties set just below your chest so you can drop your arch and the weight will sit on the safeties

Another solution for no spotters is to use dumbbells

If you have none of these
1.what the fuck man
2. Bench lower weight/reps

Hey guys ! I'm looking for advice from boxer, a guy sexually abused of my best friend (girl of course) I want to beat the shit out of him, problem I'm not fit (not fat, just that I don't exercice a lot, just running) so I want to prepare myself, any exercice to boost the power of my punch ?

I've been following phul for a few months now and on my lower power day I do squats and deadlifts back to back. I'm able to squat 225 for 4-5 reps but I could barely deadlift that much and had to deload. My form is okay when I asked people to spot me.

What the fuck is wrong with me?? Does it have something to do with doing deadlifts right after squat? Do I just suck at deadlifting or am I a fucking retard?

How do I deadlift with this piece of shit? I can't afford a gym yet and this is the best option I have, but I'm pretty tall and it's tough to bend that far down and maintain form

That body fat % is not an indication of strength, power, skill, or actual sport conditioning.
It is used as a metric for conditioning in bodybuilding but bodybuilders at "competition" time are at their weakest performance wise, therefore it isn't a sport.

have had problems with my shoulder since May now, because I never really treated it.

i paused for a whole month, put ice on it, and took ibuprofene against the inflammation.

stretch your whole upper body and strengthen your back, especially your upper back,rear delts. also work on your internal/external rotation of your shoulder!

maybe also get a physiotherapist to massage your traps and delts, worked a lot for me.
kinesio tape to support the shoulder also worked for me.

for me it is crucial to do a complete shoulder warm up before lifting (i'm a weightlifter). before i just did some stretches and some presses with the barbell and started heavy jerking. that's bullshit. now i warm up my upper body properly, up to 30 minutes, with elastic bands and light stretching.

please take sharp pain VERY seriously OP and dont wait to go to an orthopedic, if it doesnt improve!
