assuming you go to a commercial gym and don't have a top notch homegym: Why haven't you gotten yourself an adjustable dumbbell set for home yet? You can do all your main barbell work in the gym you visit, but in case your gym closes or you just feel like throwing in a high volume bodybuilding day to recover better.

Overall, it gives you much more flexibility and also allows you to do meme shit like wealthy pianos curling before every sleep or low intensity "accelerated" recovery etc. without having to go to your gym, which takes away plenty of time

I did.

My main problem was training legs, just:
>do single-leg split squats
>do lunges
>donkey calf raises or one legged ones if you you're not a flaming homosexual
As a bonus you get a decent hip flexor stretch and develop better balance.

A pull-up bar, an old ottoman, a wooden board for calf-raises and a 2X27.5kg set of DBs allowed me to maintain my gains (1/2/3/4 for reps) while cutting. Afterwards I even was able to get a bit stronger by doing stuff like hanging leg curls and weighted push-ups/pull-ups.

Gains are a bit slower, but I suspect that is due to being forced to make up your imbalances. Plus it's a lot cheaper and a lot less of a hassle.

I own pic related.

It makes each dumb bell 17 pounds.
It is really weird.
>>
>>42484361
A resistance band works just as well, takes up less space, and is cheaper.
As a downside, it's 455% more gay.

I have no problem following an exercise routine nor do I have a problem giving it my all (I want to make it and be aesthetic after all), but my problem is that I always feel too weak/tired to the next exercise after exerting nearly all of my energy on the first one.

Do you guys pace your energy or do I simply have to wait until my muscles don't feel weak anymore (which is a long waiting period for me honestly, like 10-30 minutes)

you probably just have to get used to working out.
it makes sense if you have been sedentary all of your life.

a reason could be that you didnt eat before working out? or doesnt eat enough in general.

give it time and dont give up, gotta do what it takes
>>
>>42484356
which program are you doing? lower your intensity and ramp it up slowly. 1 day between workouts should be plenty to recover

Will a 10 day break really mess up with me?

Please help /fit/bros
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>42484079
not really, probably prudent to deload 10% or so but 10 days isn't a ton as long as you are keeping up with your training before and after and don't fuck up your diet/sleep/etc. a lot of routines program in a rest week every 8-12
>>
If you haven't taken a break in a few months it will probably be good for you.

I take a week off every 4-6 months depending on how hard I've been going and I always feel better afterwards.
>>
>>42484079
Even a two week break has no real effect on your strength unless you booze all that time. It'll probably do you good and the only gains you'll lose are the ones you would have gotten during those 10 days. Next time post that shit in the QTDDTOT.

Looking for ways to consume this stuff. I'm posting some I found and requesting what people here are doing.

Why use pea protein:
- cheaper than whey
- vegan/gluten free if you care about that.
- you can add it to soups/stews/curries to increase

Properties:
- it is a thickening agent. you could use it instead of cornstarch
- quite a strong, not great pea taste. Not bland like whey.
- salty. Each scoop is .750g of salt.
- not a complete amino acid profile. Which is fine as long as you are eating some wholegrains or other any meat throughout the day.

Why do normies tell me to not bench press with an arch what the fuck? As a DYEL beginner, I'm confused on wheter to have a slight arch as suggested by fitness youtubers or to not have an arch suggested by other gymgoers.
8 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
listen to whoever has the biggest chest
>>
>>42483708
You need to have an arch, as it will put more pressure on your chest and less on your shoulders, just don't overdo it.
>>
don't listen to the normie. I have no fucking clue where they get their information

>don't bench with an arch
>but benching with your ass a meter of the bench is ok because more weight haha

Think about it this way, people, generally, see working out as some hard thing to do, instead of a hobby. They have a goal in mind, they don't like the process. So you doing something not kin to their knowledge is wrong, otherwise they are doing it wrong, and they can't be because they indentified with the goal and not with the progress
