Hey /fit/ I got my rack now I just need weights, what should I expect to pay for 250-300lbs plus an olympic bar?

Dicks sporting has 255lbs plus bar brand new shipped for 200, is that good or should I be checking craigslist or something for a better deal?

Getting plates used is always a good thing, their whole purpose is just being heavy so it's not like you're losing anything by using used weights. If there's nothing on craigslist near you though, that's a good deal. Most people spend $30+ a month on a gym membership so a $200 one time fee (plus an additional ~$80 each time one of your lifts goes up a plate) isn't bad. Do check craigslist for a bench/rack is you plan on using those, just be pickier about the quality there.

Dear /fit/izens,

I have a weird bone structure on the back of my feet.

There is a bone which kind of sticks out, it's not painful but weird as fuck. I can't remember if it always was there as I never paied attention to it.

Anyone knows what it is / has the same thing?

Am I going to die /fit/?

I do kickboxing thrice a week on a heavy bag at home and Tai Chi on alternating days. It's the same as working out, you do it often enough that it becomes a habit and you don't skip it. You have to train to the point where it's no longer a question of whether or not you do it, but what you're going to do today and for how long.

Also it helps just to look at techniques or styles related to what you're most experienced in and branch out for a little bit. Doesn't mean you have to stick with it, it's just a good habit to keep learning new things on a regular basis.

It becomes easier to motivate yourself the longer you train because you're going to eventually realize you really need to put in the work to maintain your skills with age. Some things will naturally go away, other fundamental things will become more important. Ultimately having the discipline to practice all the time on your own will make you a better person because you're not doing it for outside approval.

Refine yourself, be prepared, some kind of proverb about polishing a sword, I guess, etc.

So Im a senior in high school and plan on packing my bags for the air force when I realize, "oh sh*t, I have the physique of a prepubescent boy." So as a measure of my overall fitness I decide to do 50 squats. 45 minutes laters It takes all my effort to get standing from a sitting position without my arms. I also have a lot of trouble doing proper push ups. My body type is tall and lean at 6'2" and 170 lbs. Dont ask me how much I can bench because ive never tried. As far as running goes, im confident in my leg strength but I suffer from lethargic stamina. So based on this self analysis could I get some sort of advise as to getting into shape?

I don't see what the point of lifting is if I can't talk to people. I never say anything interesting anymore like I used to. I bland that on me not reading as much anymore but I'm not sure how I get back into it and where to begin.

I just finished school (high) but I don't have any friends or a girlfriend. Never been to a party or anything semi-social . I've been copped up in my room for so long( thanks to surgery) that I get panic attacks going outside for trivial shit like groceries. I'm buttfuck ugly as well to top it all off.

I know this isn't a confession but I feel like I'm stuck in a narrow tunnel that has no end. I just don't see what's the point of life anymore if I lost before I could even play desu.
