Found this guy a few months ago. Layne Norton, PHD, coach, competing natural professional.

He has a youtube channel and website. Thought I would get him a little notoriety. Seems legit. Down to earth, scientifically grounded mindset and approach. Surprised I haven't seen more of him here.

The guy is fucking shit.

He's in roids but too far gone now to claim natty, and e thinks eating trans fats are the same as eating any other kind of fat, and that its healthy as any other kind of fat.

Also the guy is rage autism incarnate.

I thought he was good when I first saw him but he teaches a way to squat properly, and doesn't squat like that, does the same workout like 5 days a week, has no clue about fats or anything for that matter, he probably bought his PHD online or over the counter in India somewhere. Probably good reason why he isn't promoted here.

I want to start exercising seriously, and taking classes seems to be a good way to motivate myself to actually get the shit done. I have a few goals, which include eventually biking to work (once I buy a bike and get into shape for it) and doing some weight lifting. I have no idea what to when it comes to weight lifting and probably would need a class or personal trainer, and again I'd need to get into shape for biking around.

I'm going to pick one of these classes but not sure which. The weights class scares the fuck out of me because it will be more one on one attention from the instructor and likely more time spent talking to classmates. We would probably have to pair up with someone to spot us and I'm geeky, unhealthy and awkward. I bet everyone else will be attractive, strong and fun. Spinning sounds better because it's less interaction with people but doesn't fit my schedule as well and yeah. Idk. Help

I'm trans mtf and that makes me feel weird around people. is kinda why i'm scared of weights lifting.

How can I work my shoulders without working my lats? I want a body like pic related. I want larger shoulders and SLIGHTLY larger arms, but I want a thin torso. I absolutely despise how large lats look and I want to avoid them at all costs. Tips on how to get a very slim waist would also be appreciated. I want to look like a snake with arms / THIN swimmer build. My body is naturally a bit stockier with larger obliques (which I also hate) and very wide shoulders, so I'm not naturally tall and thin and will have to work on this shape fyi.

>female pants sto at size 10, shirts stop at L

>CEO states that he doesn't want fat people working at his stores, or shopping at his stores
Great marketing/10

Not gonna lie, this makes me want to wear the one Abercrombie shirt I have more, and maybe buy some more later.

Are there any other clothing brands that are explicitly pro-fitness or anti-fat people, /fit/?

Any high fashion brand for women, try finding a pant suit or a dress at chanel over size 6. Aint gonna happen. These brands don't brag about being antifat like abercrombie, theynlive that shit.

As for men, try French high fashion houses. However if you ate bigger than ottermode don' t expect to fit in the clothes either.

I am only 24 years old, yet I have actually already chosen my last tie. It’s the one that I will wear on my funeral a few months from now. It may not match my suit, but I think it’s perfect for the occasion.

The cancer diagnosis came too late to give me at least a tenuous hope for a long life, but I realized that the most important thing about death is to ensure that you leave this world a little better than it was before you existed with your contributions . The way I’ve lived my life so far, my existence or more precisely the loss of it, will not matter because I have lived without doing anything impactful.

Before, there were so many things that occupied my mind. When I learned how much time I had left, however, it became clear which things are really important. So, I am writing to you for a selfish reason. I want to give meaning to my life by sharing with you what I have realized:

- Don’t waste your time on work that you don’t enjoy. It is obvious that you cannot succeed in something that you don’t like. Patience, passion, and dedication come easily only when you love what you do.

- It’s stupid to be afraid of others’ opinions. Fear weakens and paralyzes you. If you let it, it can grow worse and worse every day until there is nothing left of you, but a shell of yourself. Listen to your inner voice and go with it. Some people may call you crazy, but some may even think you‘re a legend.

- Take control of your life Take full responsibility for the things that happen to you. Limit bad habits and try to lead a healthier life. Find a sport that makes you happy. Most of all, don’t procrastinate. Let your life be shaped by decisions you made, not by the ones you didn’t.

- Appreciate the people around you Your friends and relatives will always be an infinite source of strength and love. That is why you shouldn’t take them for granted.

It is difficult for me to fully express my feelings about the importance of these simple realizations, but I hope that you will listen to someone who has experienced how valuable time is.

I'm not upset because I understand that the last days of my life have become meaningful. I only regret that I will not be able to see a lot of cool stuff that should happen soon like the creation of AI, or Elon Musk’s next awesome project. I also hope that the war in Syria and Ukraine will end soon.

We care so much about the health and integrity of our body that until death, we don’t notice that the body is nothing more than a box - a parcel for delivering our personality, thoughts, beliefs and intentions to this world. If there is nothing in this box that can change the world, then it doesn’t matter if it disappears. I believe that we all have potential, but it also takes a lot of courage to realize it.

You can float through a life created by circumstances, missing day after day, hour after hour. Or, you can fight for what you believe in and write the great story of your life. I hope you will make the right choice.
Leave a mark in this world. Have a meaningful life, whatever definition it has for you. Go towards it. The place we are leaving is a beautiful playground, where everything is possible. Yet, we are not here forever. Our life is a short spark in this beautiful little planet that flies with incredible speed to the endless darkness of the unknown universe.
So, enjoy your time here with passion. Make it interesting.

Make it count!

Thank you!

An Ode to Norsefat

norsie, norsie, where art thou?
be you in the gym, with furrowed brow,
as you hoist great weight, and break many a heart,
perfecting your craft, the iron art.
And your tummy doth jiggle, if only a wiggle,
as the bar approaches thy massive loins,
and you give a great smile, in just your style,
as you drop the beast, and to the floor it rejoins,
"What a lift!
What a lift!
"all of /fit/ cries"
Such beauty!
Such beauty!"
with tears in their eyes.
To a bear, I dare compare,
your titanic stature, and wily hair,
what aesthetic fags think, you could not care,
for strength, is by which you swear.
And what of your name?
are you of Nordic ilk?
It would explain your power, thick as a rock,
one would naturally figure, you are of viking stock.
And for the haters that claim, you use vitamin g,
I simply laugh, and giggle in glee,
for you see, even if you do supplement with a little PED,
you deadlift 700 pounds, and that itself is enough for me.
Please never leave, oh glorious one,
norsie we love you, /fit/'s heart you've won

Why do PLGs keep getting deleted?
Can someone/a mod answer? I mean, it's no point in keeping to delete threads if you don't tell us what we did wrong
>>
>>35379755
Because they keep turning into off-topic shitposting. When it's too much, the whole thread gets deleted.

How do you differentiate between sub-performance from doing too much volume (trying to hit the supercompensation when you're not well enough rested), and doing too little volume (having already rested beyond your supercomp.)?

How does /fit/ take care of their sin?

Currently megadosing Zinc + Vit. A to increase skin repair. Dousing my zits in alcohol and putting a sterile dressing on them, also changing my pillow case every night.
39 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>35379250
I usually go and confess. It's weird though because I'm Jewish and I think the Catholic church I go to to do it kind of frowns on that sort of thing.
>>
>>35379250

I would think dousing with alcohol would dry your skin out, and cause you to produce excess sebum, which the P. acnes bacteria feed on. Also not sure if the alcohol will penetrate the skin deep enough to affect the bacteria.

I just started changing pillowcases and it seems to be working, but I'm also between semesters so my stress is way down too. I've also heard good things about biotin, but never tried it myself.

Antibiotics (minocycline) worked so-so for me previously, but I could never wean myself completely off. Got to 50mg every day, but any dose less than that and I broke back out.
