I never understood, until I started talking to my coworker who does cross fit. It's more like p90X with lifting instead of only bodyweight shit. Doing high rep lifting when fatigued is a receipe for injuries and no progression. There is no progressive overload.

Help brahs...
Current pic is me after about 3 years of lifting and eating correctly. I'm getting depressed as fuck because I've made no noticeable progress since last year. I'm 167 lbs at 5'10 and still look dyel from many angles. I've been running PPL for 5 months now and my current lifts are pathetic for how long I've been training. Are my genetics just shitty? Will I be a beta low test faggot the rest of my life?

Currently my lifts are all stalled at:
Flat Bench 205 lbs 3x5 (PR 225 x2)
Squat 235 lbs 4x5 (PR 275 x2)
DL 295 x3

I always hover around these lifts then am forced to deload and have to work back up to them after many weeks. Please help fit, how do I get out of this rut?

How many calories are you eating daily? I would suggest tracking your macros precisely for a few weeks to a month. People who lift (especially former skellies) tend to overestimate how much they've eaten.

Your deadlift would indicate that you're not eating properly. You should easily be at 405 after 2 years of seriously and consistent lifting and dieting.

I was skinny until I was maybe 2, but all pictures of my after that are with double chin and fat body. I'm kind of upset that I have no cute childhood pictures, and it stopped me from doing a lot in my life. I didn't join scouts even though I really wanted to because I was too self conscious. I was told "nobody will be your friend if you're fat", and yet...
I never snacked as a child either, and I didn't like/have juice or soda. I just ate what my parents gave me, which I guess was a lot. I resent slightly, but I'm also 20 now so I can't blame them for myself remaining fat. I've lost 40 pounds since moving out, so I guess there's that.

Kinda. My mum realised she'd fucked up and tried to change it, but it was a bit late by then. Given the shit she was under though I can't really blame her for not noticing fast enough
Lost some, but then I got into various strength sports and realised I'd never be that much lighter than my heaviest (down to 200 at my lightest from maybe 245-250 of pure fat couch potato at my heaviest, currently sitting on 215). Just in way better shape.

/fit/, is it dangerous to lift while being excessively obese? I am 5"10 at 340 pounds (started lifting at 310 pounds). Been lifting for two years now, not including the 3 months of SS I did. Will my heart rupture at any moment?

How do I improve arm wrestling techniques?

There's an arm wrestling competition in a club on New Year's Eve where the prize is free drinks for the night. Now I can pretty comfortably beat my friend group, however I'm worried because there is going to be a few rounds at least that I'll tire out.
So my question is how can I improve technique, therefore beating the first few easier and saving myself for the later rounds?

So anybody had some experience with this program? Is it a total jew-out? Looking to start doing this for more cardiovascular reasons, not trying to build any big muscle. It's good to help normies lose weight, because apparently cardio is hard. (Not saying BW exercises are shit, but still.)
For weight loss, you're better off with cardio or HITT.

What's cool when you're at the gym, is that you get to see the different phenotypes of people.

There are some dudes having piss-poor frames with thin fingers, bitch wrists and narrow chinless faces who lift jack shit, despite being long term gym goers,, and there are some mofos who manage to DL 250lbs first time, have visible muscular mass with thick as fuck necks and forearms, often associated with wide faces, huge chins and xboxhueg jaws.

Now tell me /fit/. Are there studies that disprove otherwise? Are there studies that show we're all the same and it's all a matter of caloric consumption?

I mean, it's just clear to me that we aren't all the same, that some people manage to retain their incredible muscle mass on 2000 kcal, while some other teens need 5000 kcal just to put on a fraction of muscle.

Are we clear on that? Do you feel the same, or is this just a shit impression I have?

What's the ultimate length for a cut and bulk cycle? Im 6 months into lifting and just started bulking a couple weeks ago, for how long should I bulk so that I can cut once i'm done and then just start eating slightly above maintenance permanently? This way I only do one bulk and one cut, instead of getting stuck on a bulk-cut-bulk cycle.
