Hey bros
I'm a uni students but I'm poor as fuck.
I decided to join the gym this year because I'm sick of being that hungry skellington in the class.
I've worked and earned just enough for 7 months of gym this year. With regards to food, which foods can I eat and build relatively notable amount of gain? I need inexpensive foods (0 dollars for protein specific food)
Also ITT

tuna, rice and oatmeal are all cheap as fuck
egg, raw egg who cares
>>35459722
Tuna is kinda pricy. I'll do the rice and oatmeal thing.
>>35458834
Peanut butter, milk and eggs.
Does your shaft hangs lower than your balls?
Mine doesn't, what can I do?

I'm applying to planet fitness tomorrow. Anyone here care to share some experiences of lifting/working at PF?
>>35458740
yeah, don't
you'll never make it. planet fitness is designed to make money by promoting and encouraging mediocrity, which is what most americans want. planet fitness is an excuse, not a solution.
most planet fitnesses are shit, but some of them aren't that bad. the one near me actually has a squat rack and nixed the lunk alarm. i still would look for other options if you have them, but going to a shitty gym is better than no gym at all.
You guys know the drill.
>>35458659
Filter and sage? You got it.
>drill
Report and sage.
Is this body (or a bit better) achievable by May-June of this year?
I'm 5'10, 199. Put on 20 pounds in the dirtiest bulk known to man.
>>35458547
Definitely. Just roid and then run PSMF.
One of my biggest regrets in life is not trening sooner. Just do it anon.
Godspeed brah
With the best trainers, diet, routine available and nothing else to do but prepare? Possibly depending on what you're starting with. That's what the actors do after all.
But for someone who's never trained, has no knowledge about diet or training and no real knowledge about how thei body responds to training? Nah.
Unless you roid.
read the sticky
I'm embarking on a 12 week strength and cardio plan in order to lose about 20-30 pounds by summer (might start the 12 weeks over again if it yields results). For daily nutrition, it recommends 1g of protein for each pound of body weight. I'm 6'0" and weigh 280 pounds. Can anyone recommend a good protein powder for a dude who has never taken protein powder before?
I'd love to eat an entire goddamn turkey every day, but I don't think i'm up for it.
bump
pls help. need mire.
All protein is the same. Just don't buy the overpriced shit and buy isolate whey if you are lactose intolerant.
>>35458425
Why do you only want to lose 20-30 lbs?
When keeping track of my calories and macros for weight loss.....
Does it matter if I have eat low cal on rest/sedentary days, then high cal on active workout days?
Or should I keep my calorie intake consistent all the way through to promote recovery?
>>35458367
Bump because this the first post on /fit/ I've made in years.... Also the sticky only mentions on what to eat based on a linear 1 day, rather, whether to calculate calories based on day to day, or simply overall hours in a week.
>>35458367
Since you spend energy working out, you need to eat a bit more to have the same caloric deficit.
>>35458456
Yeah, but say I workout 6 hours a week, I take a break on Wednesday.
Would I calculate the calories based on my activity level on Wednesday? Or do I stay course and eat what I would on a regular training day.
>fat people think they can jump from a 1500 calorie diet to a 800 calorie diet
>>35458086
>fat
>1500 calories
Baka
>>35458124

Hello /fit/ Ever sine I started working out, I've been getting acne all over my body. Why's that?
Shower before and after working out
are you doing roids?
>>35458027
Before? That doesn't make sense if you're gonna get sweaty afterwards.
Or are you telling me that cause I'm already suffering from this shit?
you're in the gym when this guy slaps your ass and winks at you

>>35457996

He's ugly
>>35457996

Do you consider yourself a big guy? If so, what routine did you use, and how long did it take?
I've been doing Starting Strength for almost a year, but I'm still a small guy.

>>35457871
SS is for no more than 6 months, you're doing it wrong, after 6 months you should switch to another routine, with more volume of exercise.
>>35457871
I do a PPL routine twice a week.
Push:
Flat BB Bench Press
Incline BB Bench Press
BB Shoulder Press
Machine Flyes
Bodyweight Dips
Triceps Pushdowns
DB Shoulder Press
Pull:
BB Deadlift
BB Shrugs
Lat Pulldowns

I saw a bunch of people who were obvious resolutioners that didn't really know what they were doing.
One guy put his bath towel over the entire length of the lat pulldown bar.
Another guy used bumper plates on the bench.
That's about it.

I stayed in and watched the untranslated Downtown No Gaki batsu.
