Hey /fit/
My boyfriend frequently grooms himself before heading off to the gym, and he's been going more often without me.
He's pretty buff, but I'm afraid other girls might be checking him out more now than ever... so what do I do?

>>pic related in the sense that it is my eventual goal butt
I hope your gym has a time machine
>>35459982
I don't understand...
>>35459998
He's saying that girl in pic is underage.
>trying to gain weight
>shit appetite
>have to force feed self most of the time just to stay equal with my TDEE
Any tips to increase my appetite? Should I just have snacks around the place to stuff my face in?
>>35459928
Train harder
Cream in coffee
Nuts in yogurt
Not the most healthy things to do but at least it'll bring you closer to your TDEE.
Smoke weed everyday. (Rly doe)
It's six o'clock on a Saturday
The regular crowd shuffles in
There's a kid on SS lifting next to me
Obviously pretty new to the gym
He says, "Sir can you help me get bigger arms
I'm not really sure what to do
But if someone knows bis, their delts and their tris
Well it sure as hell’s probably you"
La la la, di da da
La la, di da da da dum
Get us some gains, Rich Piana man
Get us some gains tonight
Well, we're all in the mood to be makin’ it
And you've got our tris feeling tight
Now Chunk at the gym is a friend of mine
He spots all my lifts for free
And he can’t wait for new years to come around
When the gym is chock full of normies
He says, "Anon, I believe this is crushing me."
As his set slowed down to a rest
"Well I'm sure that this could be my new 1 rep max
If I could get it off my chest"
Oh, la la la, di da da
La la, di da da da dum
Now scoobs is a serious bodybuilder
Who’s body looks sharp as a knife
And he’s speaking to Jason, who eats too much bacon
And is probably dadbod for life
And the mothers are practicing cardio
As the new year fags try to get ‘toned’
They’re leaving the freeweights all over the place
But it's better than sitting at home
Get us some gains, Rich Piana man
Get us some gains tonight
Well we're all in the mood to be makin’ it
And you got our tris feeling tight
It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday
And the Chunk just gives me a grin
'Cause he knows as of late normies just wanna lose weight
And that’s how Chunk’s income rolls in
And the preworkout smells like a lollipop
And the crowd sees me squat with a cheer
And I set down the bar and record my PR
And say, "Guys, why are you even here?"
Oh, la la la, di da da
La la, di da da da dum
Get us some gains, Rich Piana man
Get us some gains tonight
Well, we're all in the mood to be makin’ it
And you've got our tris feeling tight
shameless self bump
>someone took the time to write this out
saged and reported btw

Why?
At what point does it become acceptable to quit lifting? Before you all start calling me a lazy faggot, I still love training my body and want to be active as much as possible, I don;t ever want to feel like I'm 'giving up'. I'm just finding lifting weights at the gym really boring, even when I'm pushing PRs. It's lonely and transport to the gym is expensive and it doesn't exactly get me outside much. I also feel like mentally I've gained all I can from lifting, I now have much greater willpower and dedication, but I want to focus this energy elsewhere. There's lots of other stuff I want to do (Judo, swimming, mountaineering etc) and it feels like lifting every other day is really holding me back from doing these things. At the same time I don't want to lose the progress I've achieved so far, been lifting for about a year and a half now.
So, blogpost aside, are there any activities/sports other than lifting that I can do to continue to consistently build muscle and functional strength?
>>35458697
>He thinks lifting 18 months is enough
>>35458712
I don't think it's enough. That's why I want to continue to build strength. I'm just saying that so people don't get the impression I'm a DYEL who tried SS for two weeks and found it too difficult.
>>35458697
OP, you'll pick up these hobbies, maybe stick to them for a few months.... Then stop because they are boring, as all things become as they become easier.
And that will be your life, back to a regular fag.
I'm literally obsessed with Mark Rippetoe.
Me too, anon, me too.

Are there any good wireless headphones that look like beats but aren't that overpriced shit?
If a man had to replace deadlifts, what should he replace them with?
Had a major car accident and it's been a long road to full recovery. I lucked out and my doc is a lifter himself. After nearly a year things are looking up but he and I are both nervous about me deadlifting heavy again. I've been able to get back into highbar squats, and he suggested I throw in reverse hypers in the mean time.
What else should I look into? GHR's? Bridging?
from a life course perspective a car accident is a decent replacement for deadlifts
>>35458255
Just do reverse hypers @ 25% of squat max for 3 sets of 20 reps as rehab/stretching prior to work out. Then start deadlifting, SLDL, good mornings , seated GM, pin/rack pulls -using light weight until your strong again. Work in more reverse hypers @ 50% of squat max for 3sets of 8-10 reps for strength. Then finish everyday with another set of reverse hypers for rehab @ 25% of squat max for 3 sets of 20 reps.

where'd you get the numbers from? is this a known protocol?
Due to being out of town can't rlly eat the same nor train.mhave been out since Thursday and won't be back until Tuesday. Will I lose size?
In my experience, your first workout back will be a little rough, but I doubt you'll lose any size
no dipshit. it'll take two weeks on a normal diet for deterioration to set in. one week if you stop eating right and your hot bod starts cannibalizing your musculados.
What most people dont realize is, when you come back on tuesday and hit the gym you're gonna feel off. That's just you waking up your shit again. Big difference between falling off the wagon and goin in again, and being gone for a weekend and hitting it on tuesday.

>if you stop eating right and your hot bod starts cannibalizing your musculados.
state your source then watch as we throw much kek your way

>>35457833
But anon, making kids follow a program isn't communism.
If anything, it's more like that Spartan style of communism were only a few people benefit and those who can't handle it die off.

Kids ruined by video games, cell phones, facebook, youtube, technology, fast food, welfare, Miley Cyrus, battery powered skateboards...etc. Society will slowly kill itself and the PC police will round up all the fit people and punish them. Thanks Obama.

I want to into running, so I have two main questions. How fat is fat enough that I should probably start with just walking and other cardio in regards to not fucking up my joints? And what's with the minimal running shoes thing? I looked around in the /fit/ archive but now I'm confused whether they're a a meme, or them being a meme is a meme. Also general running thread I guess so I don't take an entire thread for myself.
>How fat is fat enough that I should probably start with just walking
If you have to ask....
>And what's with the minimal running shoes thing?
Meme. Get proper shoes. You need proper shoes for running.
>>35457185
If you're under 30% bodyfat, a Couch-to-5K is probably good for you. Seems like ~30% for a male is a pretty good run/walk line in the sand
Minimal shoes are for folks that are more comfortable with a forefoot-landing strike when running than with a heel-strike. Heel strikers need lots of cushioning and regular shoe changes to protect their joints, forefoot runners have a different set of needs. One style works better for some folks, the other of others. Forefoot running rid me of a lot of knee/foot pain and helped with calf development, but I'm not you and you're not the other dude who thinks it's a meme.
>>35458190
I want to try the couch to 5k but I am too hung up to run outside or use a machine. Is running on the spot enough?
How long can you hold this pose, /fit/?
>>35456067
As long as i need to cum in your mommy
3 years.
Indefinitely if I had a stool
How do you lose this shit?
I've been dieting for 2 months, and I got as lean as I've never been before. I look like if I just broke out of a concentration camp. But still the lower abs and lower back are covered in bacon, and they just won't move. My weight contious to drop, I lose muscle like crazy, but this shit won't go away. What the fuck?
>>35455851
Lift
same way you lose fat everywhere else, just gotta keep cutting
it's not easy, but it's very simple
but for real, you're probably not losing much muscle, it might look like it because most people think they're way leaner than they actually are. just keep going m8
>>35455851
Either you are doing it wrong or you have shit genetics
Has anyone here actually found a way to grow taller? I'm a manlet here and I need help, I've tried different methods and I think some kinda worked.
Used to be 5 foot 6 did some exercises around 18 and grew to almost 5'9, stopped doing them went back to 5'8.
I've tried the gtg routine (which I think was what gave me that inch or inch and halg)
I've been thinking on doing LSJL but I don't know how to do it with dummbells since I don't have clamps yet.
I heard that grow taller for dummies has worked for some people.
please help me /fit/
Lol mate, just let it go, you won't grow any more, work on things you can actually change. This height obsession is just something insecure people have started. "I cant get girls since im short" no you can't get girls because you're boring, a downer and you look insecure when you stand on your tippy-toes at the bar.
Im 6'0 and my brother is 5'6, we look pretty much identical otherwise. He gets as many girls as i do. He's a charming chem engineer who doesn't obsess over his height. Since height is genetics short people wouldn't exist if girls found it as repulsive as /fit makes it seem.
>>35455750
only thing you can do is make sure you have perfect posture anon, everything else is a fucking meme
You could always get leg lenthening surgery, but thats only really for people who have short legs, because if you already have a well proportioned body, then you'll end up looking a bit off.
