Hello /fit/.

I can't afford the GYM anymore. It's my second month and it's been draining my wallet. I also couldn't get over the presence of others in the GYM, I feel really uncomfortable.

Should I just buy dumbells instead and work home? I just need to build some muscles in my chest, biceps, triceps and shoulders. Nothing else. I don't want my upper body to be hungry skelly mode anymore.

Do kegels ACTUALLY make you last longer in bed, or is it just a myth?

I hear the claim a lot, but is there any proof?

I'm looking to hear from people who have maintained a consistent kegel routine for months and have (or haven't) found tangible results to relay their experiences. It would be helpful to the citizens of /fit/ if you were to answer these questions:
• What can one reasonably expect from kegels in terms of sexual performance?
• What is required our of a kegel routine to get there?
• How do you know you're making progress?
• How long before you see results, and how long until you reach ''mastery'' (if it exists)?

There is lactose free milk, you can still do GOMAD.

However, I wouldn't do GOMAD, it is stupid. All you do is put on tons of excessive fat you need to shed later on again. You also wasted 21 years of your life, it's not like a year more to make some more reasonable weight gains is much of a loss.

you need progression to make gains.

linear progression as a novice, then progressive overload when those gains run out.

that being said, you can do more than nothing...
so if it is between nothing and a 45lb plate, use the plate.

but ideally get your hands on a gym membership, or some oly dumbbells and more weights or... something.

so many options.

you want to be able to progress in weight every time you work out.

Question for the philosophers of /fit/: how does one compensate with not getting any validation or attention from the opposite sex?

I chose this board cause this is full of threads like this and we are all lifting not just heavy ass weights but feels also. For many people it seems like lifting has boosted their confidence and made them look better resulting in mires and attention from the opposite sex.

But for me it has never happened really. I lift a lot and I personally think that my body is pretty decent. My face isn't totally fucked up either, sometimes I think that I look pretty good. So with other words, I'm quite confident about myself. However it does bother me a bit that the opposite sex has literally no interest in me what so ever. Sure that has made me doubt myself back in the days but I got rid of it by simply stopping to put myself out there. No disappointments, so cry basically.

But that's kinda the only thing missing in my life. I got friends, I got my life in order, I got hobbies, I'm a normie. I have just never been in a relationship with anyone, and as I get older the more abnormal that is. And there's really no substitute to fill that hole in my life either.

Not saying that I'm desperate or that I could never have any chances on anyone, but naturally it's a bit sad thought that your mother is basically the only person who loves you.

So /fit/, how did you deal with these feels? I'm not looking for any personal advice really so this thread is not about that, I just generally wanna know if there's a way to stop longing for things that will prob never happen.

Unless you're a competitive powerlifter trying to put up the biggest 1rm deadlift in competition, you'll likely get a better training effect out of pulling conventional. Sumo is similar to the super-wide stance squatting or super-arched wide grip benching - if your goal it the biggest number possible and your build allows for it, its a pretty useful thing to do in competition (and at least sometimes in training, because you have to be competent at the movement and that takes work) but for general strength the carryover isn't usually there compared to, for lack of a better term, more 'normal' form.

Yes. It won't make you aesthetic but it will teach you how to use your muscles corectly so that you get get on a hypertrophy program afterwards.

If you've never lifted before, your body doesn't know how to activate all of your muscles. This is why you will see "CNS gains" mentioned in fitness articles. Central Nervous System controls how your muscles fire, and the best way to activate it maximally is to lift heavy, which is what SS is for.
