Anyone here started working out to cope with their depression? Can you tell me how it worked for you, please?
I've been diagnosed about a month ago and decided that before trying medication, I'll give working out/exercise a try. I've been hitting the gym for about a week now.

Started working just less than a year ago after being on meds for a few months. I think being on meds helped give me the motivation to start and continue working out. I still take the meds, I still work out, and I feel ok.

I'm about to enlist in the military and read about the PFT everyone's put through in basic training. I have no problems with the push ups and situps, but the 2 mile run could be troublesome since I've never been very focused on cardio. I'm 20 so I need a 16:36 2 mile time but would like something closer to the 14:00 mark since I want to be able to survive BCT more easily.

I've tried to do some research on the topic but there's a lot of shitty websites focusing on running primarily trafficked by moms, so the most logical thing to do is go to 4chan. How do I cut time off a 2 mile time?

Really wanna get rid of all the fat and excess weight around my hips - I naturally have somewhat wide hips but obesity made it worse.

If you're serious and start losing weight, adjust your stats on the app to not stall. It's really easy you just have to stop being a faggot. Also cut out soda and junk food.

what blades/trimmer do you use?

I currently clean shave face every other day. I use a single blade razor using the two pass method (one with the grain, one against) cheap and works well

For body I generally just trim my back, crotch, shoulders, and tops of my feet. every few months I trim from neck to toes to ensure I don't have a clean back contrasting with 2 years of leg growth. I use the wahl super trimmer for trimming. Its a beast of a cutting machine compared to the 10's of trimmers I purchased over the years. cons expensive, battery life only decent.

Serious question /fit/:

I've been lifting for slightly over a month now, and I started out doing squats parallel. 2 weeks ago, I started going ATG with my squats, but these are bothering the fuck out of my hip, so much I might have injured myself?

Now when I walk, I can feel a "pop" coming from my left hip, like my femur isn't inside of the socket or is moving around. It's not audible but if I put my hand over the left side of my hip, I can feel it pop. It kinda hurts and it's making me worried. I don't want to stop going ATG with my squats, but holy fuck this is bothering me. Do I need to see a doctor because I have hip dysplasia or is it something less serious? Or is it because my hip adductors are weak? Has anyone experienced this, and if so, any advice for a dude with who's trying to go ATG but is worried because his left hip is getting wrecked?

Advise me /fit/, pls. If you want to know, my current back squat is 145 lbs (~65 kg).

A "friend" of mine is one of those people that exaggerates every physical thing he can do when he tells someone and he blatantly lies about some shit.

Says he can run 5miles in 30 minutes
Says he can bench 135 for 10 reps at 5" 8 120lbs maybe less
Says was a state boxing champion in Mexico when he was 14-15.
The thing is I know he cant do this shit. He is a twig who can't beat a 5" 3 100lb kid in arm wrestling.
So, I ask you how can I debunk his claims using facts and math? His claims are far fetched but people believe him because they don't realize what the actually entail physically.
