/fit/ do you ever find yourself saying/doing something that your parents would do? Genetics are a strange thing. It has such an impact on both our physical and mental attributes. It really makes me question how unique and personal my choices and actions are..

What are some things you do that make you stop and reflect how similar you are to your parents?

My father has insane dad strength, I have no idea how he got forearms so fucking huge programming software and doing yard work but I seem to have inherited this. My mom however is lazy as hell and many of my regrets I can see mirrored with hers. Both of them are antisocial and have no friends... I feel I am destined the same, but hey who cares when I settle down with a QT 3.14 right?

Diet question here /fit/.

Im eating around 3-4 pounds of beans per day from a can. Is this safe to eat so much beans every day? I've cut down on meat and I'm eating more beans. Consuming more yogurt as well.

Im just concerned maybe such a high amount of beans are bad, but I look at diets around the world of people who live long lives and they consume large amounts of beans and legumes.

Why not buy large bags of dry beans and soak them yourself? I used to work in a kitchen, it's an easy process. Pretty much set em up and leave them for awhile.

In the long term, it's almost the same cost. I also work in a kitchen, and I don't feel like cooking any more than I have to after plodding away in a kitchen 50 hours a week.

Sweater and shorts for squats and dead lift days so i wont have sweaty ass.
Type 2
Cotton/ Loose Under Armour shirt and joggers from Reebok to Nike. For my bench dayas or when the weather goes below 20 degrees Fahrenheit cause my gym is located below ground.

For those of who are cutting on here how many calories are you cutting at? I am moderately active and I think those calorie calculators are still telling me to eat to many calories.

Anyone ever deal with exertion headaches? I got a seriously painful headache in the back of my head a few nights ago while lifting and it's happened two days in a row. I immediately stopped working out after it came on tonight.

What do? Take a week rest? Do light weights? Will it ever go away?

Happened to me cause I wasn't breathing right. I took like 2 weeks off, trust me you'll want too. Also I couldn't do squats for a very long time without getting a headache after it.

Who else is a minimalist when it comes to lifting?

I do both lifts twice a week, along with a bunch of chin-ups every day. Feels good to be free of all those isolation exercises, counting macros and being obsessed with aesthetics. Just like lifting some weights eating healthy and letting the rest fall into place. You guys should try it out some time
