hey /fit/, need advice for my macros
first off: I'm a girl, 5'2, 120 lb, 21yo, want to lose that extra fat

0.8g to 1g protein per lb of bodyweight, how do?
I'm aiming for 1200kcal/day and 120g protein are 40% of that.
so isn't 120g of protein a little bit too much for a girl? (sticky says no matter what gender)
in some threads here people say they get much less protein and see results.
then I read, it should actually be 1g/kg of bodyweight which would be around 55g which would in turn only be 18% of my 1200kcal

questions:
>how much protein do I really need?
>how do I balance out the rest? (fat/carbs), read: in which ratio?

I apologize in advance for making this thread, I am just really desperate and at a crossroads...

>165lbs->125lbs (6 month cut; s-sorry for skelly)
>lifts went down from 0.75/1.5/2/2.5 now 0.5/1/1.5/2 (s-sorry for weak piece of shit)
>planned to cut to 10-12% bf then slow/lean bulk after until at least 1/2/3/4

I am worried I am not at 10-12% body fat, but feel as though cutting any lower is unhealthy.

Also, sorry for manlet, and sorry for pajeet (I know I won't ever make it, but I just want to make the best of what I have...)

So my questions are:

1. Body fat estimate?
2. Should I stop the cut/start slow (almost maintenance: lean) bulk?

You have to keep track of the weights youre lifting so you can track your progress, push yourself and make sure you are getting stronger.

Hey /fit/, /adv/ told me to come here and ask this, so I figure I will...

Can someone explain to me what's "so bad for you" when it comes to losing weight quickly? I'm on a pretty intensive diet right now, and I've lost 15 lbs in just over 3 weeks, which my coworkers and some other friends are saying "is terrible for me." Last year I did the same diet, and I lost 25 lbs in 6 weeks.

I feel absolutely fine, my energy is solid, and I have no problems that I'm aware of, plus I'm finally down from being borderline obese to having a healthy, normal BMI, which seems to me to be a lot more important than "losing weight too fast."

Is there something terrible that's going to hit me that I'm unaware of?

Really nothing. If you care about it: Losing weight quickly usually means that you will also lose more muscle mass. Apart from that most of the things that are supposed to happen are myths created by fatties in desperate need of yet another excuse. Including >>36268960 btw.

My skin seems to have stayed pretty elastic and I'm down to 173, with only about 10 more lbs that I plan to lose. There's nothing loose on me. I shouldn't have that to worry about if I'm just losing 10 more, right?

Is 26 too late to start doing a martial art/fight discipline?

I keep in good shape, body fat is good, I still have a comfortably above average level of cardio so I don't get gassed easily, but I'm clumsy as fuck and I'm really stiff. I need to do all sorts of stretches or I fuck up my lower back.

I have never done a combat sport, but when I was 17-18 I had a 6 wins, 0 losses from fighting with chavs during a turbulent time in my life, if that helps. :D I'm just joking here, I know I'd get rattled by some guy who has been dedicating himself to it since he was 15 or so.

Any late starters here?
