Something happened to my arm. I don't have health insurance but I have you /fit/.

My right arm hurts like a motherfucker, the grip is weak, and the pain is throughout my arm, also the digits on my right hand are trembling, I also have slight loss of fine motor skills in my pinkie and ring finger.

What should I do to make this better?

Also tip for those without a gf, settle for 5-6's, you'll be getting regular poon which helps mentally. Stop aiming for the stars.

I made a horrible mistake. I got a new gym buddy who's 28 and has been training since HS. I'm 24 and started about a year ago. My DOMS is always small and ignorable and lasts about a day. But about 3 days ago I pushed myself to keep up with my new gymbro. I worked to the point of complete muscle exhaustion which I knew was dumb but I didn't want to look like a bitch. Now I can barely move and it's been 3 days. Walking is an extreme exercise and I walk like a grandpa. I can't pick up any heavy objects (or even some light objects). What did I do? When will it go away? It gets worse every day. Please help.

Tl;dr: over trained and DOMS are killing me. Can't really move. What do?

Guys my doctor told me I have tendinitis in my elbows and wants me to take a month off lifting, take some anti-inflamatory meds and set up a session with a PT. How can I not lose all my gains if I take a month off?

This is basically black magic and depending on the length of aggravation will probably fix it. Your physician is treating your symptoms and not addressing the cause. The cause is basically unequal stress in the muscles attaching and stabilizing your elbow.

Worst comes to worst you're out 5 bucks. Go try it, you'll save yourself a ton of pain and $$.

Provided you eat right, not too much carbs and enough protein, you won't lose as much mass or strength as you think, especially mass. Expect 10kg or so to drop off your maxes at most, and you'll look a bit flatter but you will gain it back quickly.

so what's the best number of sets / reps for hypertrophy ? (ie getting swole)
I tried 4 sets of 12 reps at 80% of my 1 rep max, but my muscles seems way less tired than when I pushed myself to failure, so which one is best?

is going to failure only useful for strength gains?

Post routines and ask questions regarding agility and speed.

My question: How can I improve my entire body? Foot work, obviously, but also moving arms, torso, trunk, and full body faster. I'm a fighter, and I'm not satisfied with what I'm currently doing.

The more you lift the stiffer you get. Start to dedicate more time to streching and cardio. Running in the woods made my footwork improve a lot.

I'm not looking for a lifting routine, I have a strength cycle I do. I'm looking for a good routine to build explosive speed and agility. Think, throwing kicks and punches faster, and changing direction quicker, even off one foot, or in weird positions.

Something I found/find useful is to stand neutrally (as if you were talking to someone, hands by your sides etc) and then try to launch a powerful, non telegraphed punch or kick at the bag/air. Imagine someone is in your face and getting aggressive, you need to catch them off guard. It'll improve your explosiveness and help you hide your movements. As for footwork, I like to dance. Anything where you move around with control, ballroom, breakdance, kpop, whatever. Try movement from other sports. I like to use a fĂștbol style kick where I push from my back leg, shifting weight diagonally forward to my lead with a step, and then turning/springing back to my rear leg while kicking with the lead. It packs a metric fuckton of power and covers a lot of distance. You can also throw a punch (I prefer a hook) into most parts of their body. If you want to keep it sly, lean down as if you're going to punch, and watch your opponent. If they guard high, punch low or kick. If they guard lower or look ready to check your kick, punch high or simply jump at them.

Try going from a standstill to full sprint as fast as you can, and then stop quickly. Good for learning balance in movement.

Point your feet. What i mean is, it's easier to move sideways if your rear foot is sideways.
