Im 24, weigh 260lbs. 6ft. Passable physique but I definitely need to lose weight. (No fat folds or anything but if I dont start watching my weight I will.) Anyways I drink very sparingly and dont smoke. I work in a clean factory, not around any harsh chemicals. Hare's the dilemma:
I have started to have pain under the edge of my sternum and around the underside of my rib cage close to the right of my chest. The pain also springs up around my armpit and behind my right back shoulder-blade. Mind you the pain is NOT consistent. Only when I move in certain directions or when I inhale deeply. The pain has lasted a total of 4 days now. Any assistance would be appreciated. Pic provided has the painful areas circled.
Trigger points. Look up myofasical release. Also is the passable physique at those measurements bait? Because you can't be passable. Not being mean because I'm overweight too. But if you're not it's time to cut brah.

What other hobbies does /fit/ have? Have you applied the discipline you've learned from lifting to other hobbies and did it translate well? Any drawfags? Any sportsfag? Any random obscure hobbies fags?
>inb4 lifting is my only hobby
have fun telling grills that the only interesting thing you do in life is pick up some metal circles on a metal stick and put them back down
>>36487948
Right now, focused on reading more for self-improvement. I just moved to a new state though, so I'm going to start looking at other hobbies soon.
Softball, volleyball, hiking, camping, snowboarding, kayaking (I wanna start whitewater but I dunno how to into it).
I'd like to join a hockey league but I can barely skate.

Self-improvement talk gets bitches wet.
YFW you hear a fat, unmotivated man/woman bitch about "unrealistic" body images presented by the media.
Like, nigga, maybe unrealistic for someone who says shit like "I'd be in shape if cake wasn't so delicious!" and spends all their free time on the couch.
>>36487913
that animation made me feel physically ill. pls stop
A huge number of lead character's bodies in Hollywood media and advertising are on some level of steroids though, not even just the men.

I need an explanation that isn't "you're lying". By definition it's not a lie if you don't know you're doing it.
All calories are not created equal. Get all your calories from raw fruits and veggies.
>>36487831
Just stop eating, clearly energy consumption is irrelevant.
>>36487831
You're counting wrong.
My gf is eating 1350 kcal a day @ 120 lbs and 5'5 and she's losing a pound a week. Metabolic disorders can account for a few hundred calories either way for BMR. You should be dropping 2 lbs a week at a deficit of 1000 kcal.
Go get myfitnesspal and count better.
So your okay with being bald?
>taking creatine which is proven to have a byproduct of DHT which is what is reasonable for balding.
>Doing any form of exercise increases testosterone which has a byproduct of DHT. Yup you guessed it. Your going to go bald.
PS this only applies to people who have bald family members.
>>36487769
> tfw I've already accepted that I'm going to bald at 30
feels bad bros, is there any way to stop it or prevent is somewhat?
>>36487769
Baldind isn't all about genetics. More test - more DHT = more likely to go bald. Soooo... yeah. Not necessarily genetic at all.

On Febuary 1st I weighed 19.5 stone
Today I weigh 18.5
I'm pretty satisfied with my weight lost so far and I'm surprised I lost a stone considering I've never really exercised that much before February. It wasn't as hard as I thought and it feels pretty good to exercise.
But I digress.
I was wondering if there is a faster way of losing weight. Right now I'm jogging and walking for 30-40 mins. It was less before but I'm slowly building up cardio. I eat little to no sugary foods. I also drink nothing but water.
>>36487655
I have honestly had most success with lifting rather than cardio. Especially considering how demotivating cardio is, or at least to me.
You also don't want to lose weight too fast, unless you are planning on having skin surgery.
>>36487799
Oh I know. I wanna do it fast but slow enough for my skin to adjust to the weight loss.

I was wondering what the actual reasons for not taking tren on a first cycle are?
All I hear is not to do it without much reasoning or explainig why. If I am going to get night sweats/acne etc. anyway what difference does it make if it's the first cycle or 20th cycle?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
using the tdee calculator from the sticky, wtf does moderate exercise count as? i noticed that 3 days at the gym fall at light and moderate but i feel like im busting my ass too much at the gym for it to count as light. my routine at the gym is SS and i usually run atleast for 21 minutes and walk for 10, lately ive been pushing to almost 40 minutes total time doing cardio, does this warrant me using moderate exercise instead of light?
>>36488102
I actually find that hitting the gym hard, 3 days a week, plus two days with half an hour light cardio actually puts me up at heavy activity multiplier, but I do lift really intensely (Texas Method).
>>36488201
do you use a different, more accurate calculator or do you also use the sticky calc?

I think we should call 911. I knew he was full of shit, but he's reached a whole new level.
>>36487483
i think all the views and $$$ he is making went to his head
he was always pretty big on mentality, and he's uncovered a few small things which are true:
1. stress and anxiety can manifest itself in you physically (in your posture, in how you hold yourself etc.)
2. the self-consciousness that stops you from being confident also stops you from doing weird shit like jiggling around in the gif shown
but he's just taken these insights he's aware of but doesn't fully understand and run down some crazy rabbit whole of pseudoscience
I do agree. I did always like how down to earth he was. Old Eliot was weird but a cool weird. New Eliot makes me feel like he is trying to start the lifting version of Jonestown, where If you fail your 4 set of deadlifts, you drink the soy milk.

Hey fit, are you afraid of aging?
>>36487344
Mid 20s here. Not yet, I know a man's market value really only goes up until he's like 50. I'm fit and healthy so I don't imagine aging will hit me too long.
If it ever starts to suck I'll likely just hunter s thompson and shoot myself in the head.
yes jesus christ I feel anxious about it every day
I turned 26 this year and I won't get any better, it's all downhill from here. I've literally already peaked, the thought is depressing as fuck
black don't crack so no
hey all
I'm 5'8, roughly 210lbs. 25 years old, military veteran (2008-2012). after a few years of pretty deep depression, I've finally found a medication that works really well. I'm headed to college this summer to pursue a degree, and I figured that since I feel pretty good about myself, and since I don't want to spend the next few months in front of a computer letting myself atrophy, I'd like to start working out and getting into shape.
I read the sticky, but I have a few questions about the plans that I've found.
since I'm a broke ass soon to be college student, I went for a budget diet.
https://uhs.berkeley.edu/whatseatingyou/pdf/EatingWell5DollarsaDay.pdf
does this look alright? should I also be taking vitamins?
I'd like to cut out any and all energy drinks but after drinking them for so long (jesus christ I've been drinking them for nearly 8 years), I don't think that's too feasible. of course, if I absolutely have to, then I will, but I'm really hoping that there are some energy drinks that are significantly better for me than red bulls and nos. would the occasional rockstar organic be alright? what about these?
http://guayaki.com/category/151/Cans.html
in regards to exercise, I'm definitely going to be using the couch to 5k plan. I ran x-country in high school so running should be fairly easy to get back into. the gym in my apartment complex doesn't have weights; they do have machines though but I read in the sticky that machines are pretty objectively bad so I'd like to stick with bodyweight.
http://breakingmuscle.com/bodyweight/the-ultimate-90-day-bodyweight-training-plan
I would eventually like to get into the gym to start lifting weights but right now that's not entirely feasible; weights are expensive and the closest gym with weights is a 24 hour fitness... which costs money. I'm not a big fan of large gyms like this anyway, I've always been apprehensive about working out at a large gym. don't want to make myself look like a fool.
big ass post.

I was in for 10 years and I know your EXACT faggot type. Fat, manlet, shamming fake medical problems piece of shit that took a year of the four you were in to get out of the military with medical bullshitting and even harder shamming.
Get the fuck out, faggot.
I'm not even 20 and I fear I'm losing my hair.
When I wash my hair (everyday) I always have about 10 hair on my hands, so I'm wondering if I'm actually have a receding hairline or of it's just normal.
It really looks like I'm very slowly getting bald, but maybe I'm just being paranoid. I take pills for stronger hair, as well as shampoo and conditionner for that AND the equivalent lf rogaine.
So lay it on me guys, am I doomed to save to get a transplant?
>wash my hair every day
are you retarded?
>>36487166
soak your scalp in cold water after you're done washing. it increases circulation
>>36487175
Not OP, but I hate the idea of having leftover sweat in my hair by not washing daily.
Is there any legit way to cure dark circles/ eyebags? I don't want to resort to makeup.
>>36487053
Do you have trouble sleeping?
I'm with you OP. I've got permanent dark circles no matter how much sleep I get.
