Is core strength usually the limiting factor on oly lifts?

I'm a total beginner so I don't really know what I can safely work with. I've been trying out 135 lbs clean and jerks and I want to go higher but not injure myself or learn bad form. For reference I'm 170 lbs and my deadlift max is 345 lbs and I can front squat 185 for about 5 reps.

Hello all.

Fat ass reporting in at 230 lbs.

My question to all of you is - should i do cardio? Ive read places that you can just lift and you'll lose fat and gain muscle.

Also, since I should obviously be on a cut, would 1500 cals a day be too drastic? Should I eat 230g of protein a day or is that just a meme? When should I eat fruits and veggies?

This is all very confusing and overwhelming to me. I have read the sticky.

Just put it underneath a muscle and try to put as much weight on it as possible while rolling. It's not one of those things where you need a guide. Once it stops hurting, do the other muscle, then switch muscles, it'll stop hurting after a while of doing it regularly.

What I like about fit the most is that there is actually a collective agreement that everyone here is insane. That's what unites us. We obsess over weights, diet, calories, form, pussy, height, whether we're (well, you're) gay or not, supplements, and we're absolutely ok with it.

While, on other boards except /b/, there's far more pretentious fucking faggots. Even /b/ has more pretentious faggots than /fit/. /fit/ is pure.
