How do you deal with a crowded gym?
>>36808672
I say "excuse me" and nudge people out of the way a lot
>>36808672
I bought gym equipment to use at home so I don't have to go outside.
get a membership at a pricier gym, instead of dropping 10 a month at planet fitness.
Yo im looking for a good bodyweight routine for aesthetics, I can buy dumbells though. I have a pullup bar and dip station already.
Fitness level:
Bench 3x5 160lbs
3x8 chinups
Squat 3x5 120lbs
I don't want to go to the gym anymore because I'm working 10-12 hour days consistently, would like to just workout at home and still achieve my goals of just having a nice aesthetic otter mode body. I am currently 160lbs at 6ft.
I've been working out consistently in the gym for about a year. Just need a nice routine I can do home for my goals.
Pls help. Thank you.

This is an almost full-body routine a /fit/izen posted >>36792081 so it might be useful as a basis to work out what's a balanced routine - his routine is lacking in core (which means abdominals, internal and external - as well as lower back I think) which is what he was asking about in that thread.
if you want to see how he looks scroll up in the thread a bit, although it isn't that important since as long as you're working every muscle aesthetics is a matter of emphasis and leanness, not routine.
>>36808495
Seems nice and basic. 3x a week or 6x like usual PPL? I probably wanna do some yoga/running on off days, 23 yr old but honestly noticing my legs especially not being flexible and it being annoying sometimes
>>36808516
Holy shit 10 sets is a lot. Curious about those inverted rows, would be able to avoid buying dumbells then..
Does first anon recommend 10 sets for that or just the usual 3x8-12 progression?

You are getting your 4 servings of soy protein a day, right /fit/?
>>36808216
Soy makes me break out in a rash. It also makes me feel like sucking cocks, so for those reasons I avoid it in all forms.
why would i want gyno?

Scarbro checking back in. I haven't really progressed much since my last post a couple months ago. I'm having difficulty coming up with a good routine because of my lifting restrictions from my injury -- I can't squat, deadlift, or do most ab exercises anymore. Right now, I just do the same string of exercises usually 3 times per week.
>Incline bench
>Cable rows
>Curls
>Chin-ups
>Ab wheel
>Pushups/Dips with parrelletes
>Leg curls (name?)
>Leg extensions (name?)
I feel like what I'm doing is incredibly stupid, but am unsure of what to change it to. Any advice?
Pls respond
>>36807993
Your workout program is not bad for someone who can't squat or DL.
What I would do:
1
Does your gym have a seated leg press machine? You should use it if yes. I'm pretty sure your spine bears zero load with seated leg press and it wouldn't aggravate your wound.
2
I assume you are not doing OHP because of the injury? Well, lat raises are an ok shoulder isolation excercise done with little weight, even less if you go strict (fully extended elbows and no leg drive) so that your spine bears little load.
Just my 2 cents. Hope you make it.
>>36808417
I actually work out at home and don't have a leg press machine unfortunately. Just a this bowflex, weight bench, dumbbells, chinup bar, parralletes, ab wheel, elliptical.
I am allowed to do OHP, but not above 125lbs. I've avoided it because I tend to arch my back when I do it and that wouldn't be good for my spinal fusion. I'll look into lat raises.
Stupidest exercises you've actually done on a regular basis?

I heard this was Adam Lanza's routine

This wasn't something I did myself, but I once saw a guy holding two barbells side by side and dumbell rowing them like in pic related, with the lower half of the barbell still on the ground. It was probably the stupidest exercise I have ever seen. Not only was it fucking pointless but he was hogging two barbells at once. And of course he was DYEL.

If others don't bow their heads when they pass you, or shrink in your presence, or quiet down whenever you speak, you are not big enough, and you are certainly not alpha.
>>36807597
There is more to 'being alpha' than just mere physicality.
You want to know some of the qualities that make someone 'alpha'?
Believing in ideals like truth and justice, and acting on those ideals appropriately.
Being kind (but not condescending) to those weaker than you. This also means: Not bullying anyone for any reason.
Being brave, especially in the face of your own fear, but never a blustery or a blowhard.
Taking responsibility for yourself and accepting the consequences of your actions. This also means making good on your own mistakes whenever possible to do so.
Being a leader instead of just a follower, and striving towards having leadership qualities -- but also having the grace to recognize when someone else should be leading (i.e., there is always someone better at something you do than you are).
Anyone can go to the gym and get big, that's easy. But the things I speak of above are the real work to be done.
Of course it's very likely you and others of /fit/ will mock me mercilessly for the above, but what can I say? The truth hurts. Much of /fit/ thinks being 'alpha' means throwing your weight around (i.e. bullying others and getting away with it, picking fights with people and beating them, etc) but quite frankly that's wrong and someone needs to say that.
