Hello /fit/, I am a lazy bum who tends to play video games and browse the chans rather than study and improve myself, in other-words I continually seek Instant gratification rather than delayed but oh so sweet and lasting gratification.

The best way to counter this is, in my view, to have a system of instant punishment should I fail to do my work and further my personal goals.

Naturally I don't want to actually hurt myself in the long term doing things like hitting myself or worse so I'd like some ideas of ways I could punish myself while also improving my body such as 'do 20 push ups for each time you fail to reach a deadline' or something of that caliber.

tl;dr I want sane ways of punishing myself in order to push myself to be a better person

damn /fit/ i just had a revelation. i'm a big fatass. i'm 365 lbs and 6"1'. i've failed at losing weight so many times, yet every couple of months i get back into it and find myself on this board. for a while i thought i was the only fatty here, then i started noticing posts that would sound like something i would say. here's the revelation. 90% of this board is filled with fatasses like me. unless you prove otherewise, you're also a fat shit. blorp bleep

I've asked before but I always get contradictory answers. How much do you have to lift to get a gf?
Some say you're given one when you join the 1000 lb club, some say you get one when you achieve a 5 plates DL. Just how much is it exactly?

Hey /fit/
I've been doing bjj for maybe 3 months now, and I can honestly say I'm completely hooked. I've started mma too which I look, but I LOVE bjj.

My question is one that might be decisive for fit, but I'd like to see what the general consensus is. For strength and functionality, should I only train bodyweight exercise?? Or should I carry on with my SL 5X5?

REalistically, could anyone reach that level, even with steroids? Could you pick any person, put them on the same diet and training Kroc did, for the same amount of time and with the same drugs, and still expect a monster like pic related and simialr strength?

if you can only do 1-4 reps max of the weight, I would use a belt.

If you can do 5 reps, without bursting a vein or screaming like a tard, then I wouldn't use a belt.

How much water does /fit/ drink on average a day? I think I get a little over a gallon a day, never let my piss get even remotely yellow

Rip is primarily concerned with getting peoples numbers up as fast as possible. Since squat improvement drives deadlift improvement in beginners but the reverse usually isn't true, squatting more than deadlifting is beneficial.

If you don't mind lower numbers in the short term, the other approach works. Arguably it works better.
