Ameriburger here. Joining the Navy soon. Getting in shape for preparation.
Doing situps, pushups, squats, and lifting. And of course running.
Is there anything else I should add to my routine? Anyone know what PT actually consists of when I hit basic?
>>36833249
PT consists of running, push-ups, running, sit-ups and running. Maybe a few pullups.
>Navy recruit training consists of
Not a whole lot
>>36833249
I can't speak for Navy, but Army PT has devolved into crossfit.
How can you possibly call athletes who endure the most physically demanding sport and activities for 8-10 hours a day, every day, along with miles of walking and swinging a metal club at 135mph+ driving a small ball hundreds of yards and walking 5+ miles back-to-back-to-back-to-back days in order to win a competitive tournament among the most physically strong and fierce competitors in the world ... not athletes?
How come we admire football and baseball players, and boxers when the majority of them lack physical strength both body-wise and mentally wise. Granted, both sports of very athletic players, but the MAJORITY are not. Golf, on the other hand, is the majority of professional players are amazingly athletic and in shape ... yet we, as a "fitness" board, look down among these iron man (golfers).
People who drink beer, take carts, and can't break 80 are NOT golfers. Going out with your friends and getting wasted on a golf course is not GOLFING, it's being nothing.. the sport of golf is one that consists of 8-10 of extremely hard work on the putting green, chipping, and driving range along with condition of walking and playing the course and intense gym workouts designed for mobility, strength, endurance, stamina, and power... all the prime fitness essentials ... all other sports "athletes" only have one if that.
It's high time we accept golf as an extremely athletic sport, and even more start following their workout routines.
>>36833014
I thought they used golf carts and had caddies and all that.
Yeah we know it's a sport dude chill out your erection.
golf is a sport for retirees and hedge fund managers with nothing better to do. you are neither of those things, and nor is the rest of /fit/, so it should not be discussed here
What would have been different if you only had known how bad things really were?
I would have started earlier. Much earlier.
I would have started piano earlier
Nothing. Because I knew how bad things really were, but I chose to ignore it.
They have a shit ton of flavours
>>36832900
a lot of the flavours are disgusting.
Lemon cheesecake
Strawberry shortcake
only 2 i will touch
>>36832900
I got their vanilla. Pretty God tier and it's cheap as fuck. Same nutritional facts as gold standard too, only their scoop is smaller
>>36832900
I ordered some of their protein bars and cookies recently and they're pretty decent alternatives to the cliff bars I used to go for. Can't speak for the whey.
So fat people are bad, but does a fatty n the gym get respect or hate?
Support those trying to better themselves. Pay it forward.
He gets mocked like he deserves for being a fat piece of garbage
Neither, we just fucking laugh at them.
Made one sit on my spit the other day lol, should have taken a pic.
How the fuck can you possibly eat this much chicken?
Fillets are fine, but this rotisserie is kicking my ass. I don't even think I'll be able to finish the entire thing.
Does /fit/ normally just take a lot of regular medium-sized meals throughout the day instead a few really big ones?
>>36832689

dick sucks
SL 5 x 5
yeah I'm sure it's your "friend"
So hypothetically, say /fit/ was only made of 100 posters including yourself.
This 100 is made of every poster you've ever seen on /fit/.
Judging on aesthetic qualities, where do you think you'd rank yourself?
Top 50?
Top 10?
Number 1?
Number 100?
Obviously no actual list could be made but I'm curious where you think you rank among all /fit/izens.
Like 98, I'm stronger than my normie friends but since graduating depression got me and I gained 30 pounds back in two years.
are you autistic ?
Since 99 % are non-lifting dyel shitposters, I'd easily be number 1.
Amino acids or protein powder? If you have to choose between one of them
protein powder every single time
Protein powder. Though supplementary BCAAs are always welcome.
>>36832532

Do warmup on the bench and quickly sprint over to the squat rack and squat your working weight.
Do the opposite if you want to bench.
