Why does /fit/ understand that in order to get bigger and more muscular, you have to lift hard, eat right, avoid temptations, etc. and generally do things that are unpleasant for a large reward (looking good and being /fit/) but they don't understand that in order to stop being socially autistic and get a gf (or whatever other goals you have) they just chalk it up to "I'm too retarded, I can never do it, girls only want Chad, blah blah blah." That's the equivalent of blaming your genetics for being a fat slob even though you don't do shit all day and eat a shit ton.
My point here is that in order to stop being socially retarded, you have to do things that may seem unpleasant or terrifying in order to make social gains. Even saying "hello" to a few strangers a day or complimenting them can build up over time, just as doing 10 minutes of exercising a day when you're just starting out. Just apply your knowledge of fitness to social situations and you'll be golden, there are a lot of people here who have a lot of willpower. Show it off brehs, there's more than just physical fitness y'know.
Because many anons have a really hard time getting over the anxiety barrier, its too easy to pussy out. There's nothing to be scared of eating and lifting, there's no hurdles besides physical ones.

OP makes a good point. I'm barely DYEL but I'm a really social person only because I forced myself to be in order to impress highschool Crush. At the time I was about 30 lbs overweight and super depressed because of it. Combine that with crippling anxiety I pretty much was a complete failure in life except for school grades. Upon throwing myself forcibly into situations and getting weird looks for it, I eventually made my way out of retard mode. Now I'm trying to do the same with fitness and hopefully be able to one day compete with Chad thundercock

If money was of no concern, and you had all the time in the day, what would you do to maximize your health?
What kind of shit would you do (on top of working out, and eating healthy) to get you feeling awesome?
In place of working out, I'd do lots of outdoor sports like surfing, skiing and rock climbing (with friends because that makes you happier and healthier and shit). I'd spend the rest of my time stretching and doing something to exercise my mind like learning foreign languages and getting really good at chess. I'd also have sex every day or two because sex is good for you.
Realistically, my workouts would probably result in lots of injuries and joint damage so it would backfire on me.
Hire a personal chef to cook balanced meals because I'm lazy as fuck.
Probably get into swimming and biking somewhat seriously, cardio is my weak point and I avoid it because of laziness and use lack of resources as an excuse.
I'd put a couple of hours a day into learning classical guitar, it seems like actually understanding music would be more rewarding than just shoegazing on chords whose names you don't even know.
I'd read more, I do that normally but it is time consuming and I sometimes get to busy to really regularly read a book and don't really get "into" it

I'm not saying that I'm over here doing nothing but playing PlayStation and I've somehow managed to look like Charles Atlas. I go to the gym 6 days a week and I don't eat garbage for 3 meals a day. As a result I've dropped about 70 lbs since September last year.
I get there's a lot of subjectivity in all this, but I still feel like the public's baseline for what it takes to make even minor positive changes is completely fucked

Most likely you are fine. If your blood pressure is okay then you are okay. If it's not, eat more potassium and drink more water and try to eat less packaged stuff and restaurant food, that stuff is loaded with sodium not just from salt (NaCl) but sodium-containing preservatives.

I've made clear gains in my arms from what I was at about 8 months ago. I've only really started lifting regularly the past 6. I just can't seem to make any noticeable chest or core gains. I've really been trying to bulk but I have a hard time eating my goal calories of 3500 per day. Unless I revert to shit food which I'd rather not do. How can I start bulking faster? I've thought about creatine. Is that a viable option for me? Thanks.

Haven't done deadlifts in over 2 months, but my max was 295 lbs. Probably way more now I just haven't been doing them. I can never get my form right and always feel pain/pressure in my lower back after. I prefer other core exercises. Would deadlifts help tho?
