It causes your body to dry out, and then produce more oil than you naturally do. Which forces you to shower more. Trapping you in a cycle of over washing.

It varies somewhat, but you can be clean by bathing as little as twice a week.

1. Replace all your harsh soaps with stuff that's milder and better for your skin. You probably don't want to cowash but at least change to a sulphate-free shampoo. Invest in a good conditioner.

2. When you get out of the shower, apply moisturizer while you skin is still damp (not soaking. Dry yourself a bit. )

3. If you don't use one already, make sure your deodorant contains an antiperspirant. Apply before you go to bed in addition to in the morning (and after you bathe).

4. You will still have to wash your face daily. I like browsing r/skincareaddiction, they recommend washing with just water and applying moisturizer in the morning, and then a mild cleanser and moisturizer before bed.

5. Your skin and hair will have to adjust. Don't jump in the shower as soon as you get greasy. Maybe plan your non-shower days for when you don't have to go out.

I did it /fit/, I fucking did it. Pulled 5x5 on deadlifts and killed my lower back. I can barely move without sharp pain there. Everything that involves using my lower back is extremely painful. Even now while laying on the bed its barely managable. Can you tell me about your injuries and recoveries?

Running is harder
So it will be more taxing on you in the short run (out of breath etc)
But you will get 'more out of it' per say than cycling

I'm pretty shur getting your knees fucked is a meme by now, unless you run ultra marathons for 20 years or some bullshit, running will strengthen your ligaments/knees. On top of that you're gonna develop your heart and lungs, if you're really scared about your knees exploding(which you shouldn't be) just supplement MSM and glucosamine.

Sauce: been running on and off for last 10 years of my life and my knees are doing fine, your squat numbers might suffer though but tradeoff is worth it imo.
