I skipped 2 workouts because of my exams in Thursday and Friday. On Saturday I went to gym early and done a 10/10 workout after that I ate like a king at my home.

Since it's sunny spring in my city I went out with my friends during the day. Long story short during our walk we run in on a park with bars for pullups and dips. We jokingly went there to chill for a while, I went on thing used for dips.

I was sitting 4 hours before that and without any warmup I went for doing dips. Done one with completely perfect form as low as I can go and straight back up, on second repeat as I went down my shoulder popped.

I need to explain this pop because I need help: It kind of popped out inwards because the width of dipping spot is wider than me. I heard a pop and like a tear happened inside of me, my hand went limp and flabby and I knew at that motherfucking moment.

It dind't hurt at the moment but I felt uncomfortable with twisting my arm backwards. Since then the pain in my shoulder when I twist my arm backwards is really bad. I can function with ease it isn't serious but I don't know if it's going to go away.

Imagine flexing your biceps and from that position trying to go backwards with your fist, at that moment I feel pain in my front delt.

Did anybody have similar experience or injury, I need help, please?

Wondering if this is realistic progression.

My week 1 numbers come from my first real gym experience last week, company provides a full gym so I went in and practiced form. I've got my copy of SS, i've got protein on order and my diet is at a deficit.

The only one I don't truly know is the deadlift, because I didn't practice it last week but I'm assuming even DYEL can start at 135. Reason I didn't practice: I hadn't gotten to watching Rip coach DL so I thought I had to drop weights.

Any input?

The thing about working out (especially if you're just starting) is that you notice your first major gains immediately.

Also (if you read the sticky), you'll note that gaining mass or losing weight are almost always mutually exclusive long term.

So you're saying my projections are too conservative?

I understand I'm not gonna become huge by eating at a deficit - I just plan on consuming 1g/lb of protein to ensure I lose as little musculature as possible. Once I lose the weight I'll be looking at actually gaining mass.

The fact that I have lifted 3 times a week for a year means I'm stronger than a large majority of people. So that's fine with me I dont have to be the strongest guy in the room.

Kinda related, my back gives me light pain in the areas I circled, what might this be due to? It is a pain I used to get like once a year for a day or two but since I started lifting it has been appearing more often. Is it an inflammation?

Could be muscle pain due to posture or just funky deadlift/squat form.

Could also be kidney issues. Too much blood being squeezed through your kidneys feels like a dull ache. Easily mistakable for muscle strain/mild DOMS if you haven't had DOMS for a while.

So /fit/. I've been a fatass my whole life and pretty friendless at that. Got best friends during highschool but had a falling out the start of senior year. Long story short I haven't been at school since January (I'm turning 19 in less than a month) and prom happened yesterday, which I didn't get to attend. Not graduating either.

Does lifting really help with feeling not shit? I've been on anti-depressants for a month now, and been cutting. I don't know how to deal with this and just here wondering if there's any hope for me. Hold me, /fit/
