A friend of mine asked me for a routine since he wants to start lifting soon but I wasn't really sure whether just immediately jumping on the SL/SS bandwagon was such a good idea since he cares a lot more about aesthetics than strength so I told him I'd get back to him. Now I created this routine that I'm planning on getting him on. He can handle the volume (fucked around with brosplits, 20 reps and daily workouts) but I'm not a lifting expert so I wanted to get some feedback. What could be better /fit/, maybe a bit less shoulder work on friday? Also, he's about 18-19, around 175-180cm (5'9-5'10) and I'd say maybe 75-80 kg (165-176 lbs) and he's skinnyfat and weak lol

Oh and forgot to add, the basic premise of the routines was to basically get him to train strength twice a week as well as bodybuilding twice a week. I read that protein synthesis stops after about 48 hours so I figured training everything twice a week would offer the best results for a beginner
Seems pretty good, kinda like PHAT I guess. Shoulder work on friday wont be too much since you put 3x5, maybe add in some light ab work on monday

I love to work out. I currently use a 5x5 strong lifts routine for strength building. Mon-Wed-Fri
Tuesday-Thursdays i will do a bodyweight circuit routine of pushups situps/planks pullups and some cardio, nothing to high intensity.
Although i really enjoy working out i really want to get my weight up. I need a snack of some sort that i can eat..4-6 times a day that will easily get me to this goal.
Im not trying to make it to 180 overnight, over the course of 4-8 months will be fine. I think a caloric intake of 3200 should be sufficient. I just need a food that i can withstand to eat 4-6 times a day.
im not interested in a mass gainer. i have tried them and they have those bucket sized scoops and i am tired of drinking that shit.
I was thinking of an oat meal time thing that i can make with hot water. need some assistance.
CLIFFS: OP needs a bulking food. 4-6 times a day. high caloric intake and proteins would be nice. need to be able to make it on the go. or prep the night before. not looking for whole meals. just a snack to add to diet.
If you're thinking of an oat meal thing, it's easy enough to make one with some oats, milk and protein powder.
Just blend those together and stick it in the microwave for ~2 min

I'm lifting on a budget and whey is the best value when it comes to protein per dollar/euro but I have the choice between either buying 1 tub of casein and 1 tub of whey vs buying 2 tubs of whey. If I go the casein route I have to spend more though so basically my question is, is it worth it to buy both casein AND whey? Will drinking casein before sleep improve my protein synthesis (I know it's slow releasing protein but what is the benefit really?)
Also, has anybody tried pic related? It's the cheapest I could find but I'm worried it'll taste like shit. What would be the safest flavour to pick?

I work with lifting big boxes of stuff into cages that I carry around with a forklift and I gotta do it really fucking fast and make sure all the boxes fit tetris style.
It probably sounds easy but doing it 8 hours a fucking day with a 30 minute lunchbreak will take its toll on your back

Lifting weights in the gym is literally the most convenient way to get into shape. Every other way possible way is ridiculously inconvenient.
