i'm new to calorie counting and cooking and was wondering if you're supposed to weigh chicken out before or after it's cooking for accurate measurements? if you weigh it before there's still a lot of water weight in it so idk

/fit/izens, do you have other interests besides lifting/getting fit?

I must admit I didn't accomplish much in life but I've always been full of interests, some of which I still wanna pursue today: mainly travelling and photography. I also want to be more /out/, getting into serious hikes and maybe short camping trips.

How can I concile it all? Is it even possible?

Like right now, I'm planning to leave my mediocre rural Italian gym and build a home gym, I already had a power rack built for dirty cheap (350 euros) and it's pretty awesome, so with an investment in bar and plates I should be set, BUT I also want to spend money on photography an trips...

I have some skin changes, i've seen a doc about it and she said it will pass after 2-3 months. It didn't. I thought maybe it was because of eating too many eggs so i dropped them from my diet, didn't help either. Can it be from eating too many protons? Anyone had similar issues? I'm gonna see a doctor again but can't sooner than july. This shit is on my back and some on my chest.

I don't fucking understand this change /fit/.. It would make a little bit of sense in Winter, when it was cold. But in this heat during summer it makes no sense at all. Especially since the female showers still have the normal options and only the male showers have default hot showers.

It's highly unfair to every male in the gym, who make up the largest percentage of profit for the gym. to completely close down a workout room and/or the entire gym at one of the busiest times of the day.
Why don't you do that shit at like 2 in the afternoon.

Wish I worked 2nd shift again so I could just workout at night.

Hey /fit/

What happens if I don't incorporate deadlifts or squats in my workout? I have a bad back and my doctor suggested I stay away from those two particular exercises if I want my back to remain healthy.

Will I end up with fucked up proportions? What else can I do to make sure I don't lose out on potential gains?

Deadlifting with a bad back is difficult, but squats are def possible.

Start out light and make sure every rep is on point.

6'6" 240lbs reporting in. I've done boxing - now should I continue boxing or is there something better?

Just to add that I have insanely long legs and pretty long hands. I love boxing, but I also want to get some leg/knee work in.

From the sound of it if personally say Muay Thai or some other type of pure kick boxing. I'd also recommend tae kwon do because of your long legs and good reach but TKD is pure athletics and Muay Thai is pure destruction. I did kung fu and can't recommend that enough but good luck finding a kung fu school b let alone a good one that doesn't fit the McDojo meme. Doesn't sound like you even care about grappling do I won't bother throwing in any opinions about that.

Also this should really be in /asp/. Would be good to have a martial arts discussion there as oppose to the gorillion wwe/wcw/etc that flood it and make it toxic.

Da fuk you on OP? I used to run slow marathons and cycle and nothing is as much as a leg workout as boxing.

You have a very distinct advantage with your height. Just get a good, stiff jab and be able to back it up with a chopping overhand right and you can get far.

I'm a 5"9 fat manlet with short arms so I have a pretty nasty left hook.
