Hey /fit/,
I made a bet with a friend that I could increase my bench press from 245 to 265 in 3 months at 190 lbs bodyweight. Also part of the bet is that I can grow my arms more than 2cm in those same 3 months (38-40). I was planning on doing a lot of arm volume for the next month and a half and then running smolov jr for the last month. Any thoughts/ tips on what I should do to win the bet? Also general arm training/ advice thread I guess.

I think you're on the right track for your bench, but I think you're going to have a hard time reaching your arm size gain without putting on 10 lbs.

I was planning on putting on at least 5 lbs over Smolov (probably more) but I'm rather worried I wont be able to sustain enough arm volume during the program, especially my biceps which are lagging terribly

So I've fucked up and wasted the last 4-5 months without sticking with a routine or program. I've made minimal gains and am going to start counting calories.

My question is: Is it too late to try Starting Strength? Did I fuck up too badly and miss all my beginner gains? I'm nearly 23 now

Does hand-eye coordination have a lot do with physical strength? That is to say, can you be clumsy and still be strong? I'm a big girl (not fat/chubby, just curvy and quite tall) and I'm relatively pretty heavy so I suppose I have quite a bit of muscle mass. People often tell me I'm strong but I'm also very clumsy.

Does it make sense that I'm very clumsy but also pretty strong at the same time?

How do you structure a lifting program around a very physically demanding job?

I'm thinking of doing something like this but wondering if it's enough

Day A:

Press 3 x 5
Squats 3 x 5

Day 2"

Bench Press 3 x 5
Deadlift 1 x 5

Workouts would alternate every saturday as I'm far too exhausted to train during the week

I tried 5 sets of dips the other day for the first time ever and the next day my shoulders were incredibly sore and tender. I think it might have been my rotator cuff or some shit because they felt awful. Will I get used to the pain or should I stop doing them, or is it that I just don't know proper form?

Anyone know what this is? It's a very tiny purple lego looking gummy. I'm an alcholic and have severe panic attacks without alcohol. My buddy gave me this and he has a lot of them. He said to cut it in 4ths, then cut a 4th in half and eat 1/8th of the square. Within minutes all my symptoms are gone and I'm in a great mood. I tried 1/4th and it almost knocked me out in the middle of the day while running around work. He says it's Xanax, but I can't find anything like this anywhere on the internet. Elbows up, and you got to get the proper finger placement. Personally I use the 2 fingers and a thumb approach, you need to find the place on your finger that takes all the load off your wrist. Also, stretch wrists before lifting. Mastering the front squat taked time, goodluck.
