Anyone have a journal or source that publishes up to date studies?

I have been creating a database for myself on as many studies as possible to keep myself informed and up t date, but I am running out of options here as I dont know where else to look.

is there hope for someone with chronic back pain? is it even possible to fix it permanently or do I have to live with it? my symptoms:

> lower back pain when performing any kind of abdominal exercises, such as plank, bicycles, crunches. yes, I've checked my form on numerous occasions.

things like stretching and dead hangs relieve the symptoms but only temporarily. I'm looking for a permanent fix, or to at least know if it's possible. is there anyone who has had chronic back pain and has fixed it for good?

Stretching, pushups and deadlifts. Basically anything that works your core. Also sleep on your stomach, this is the most important part, sleep on your back.

I used to have lower back pain, it was something with one of the vertebrae. It wasn't hurting all the time, but it would come back if I lifted something heavy.

All I did was stay off anything which might aggravate it for a very long time, I wasn't lifting then so I could afford to rest it for a couple of years. Maybe it didn't need that long, but I think it's totally gone now - I've been doing some lifting and haven't had that issue come back.

You might need some therapy to fix it, or it might only need rest. If I were you I'd have it diagnosed.

Might be someone on here with good advice but I'd probably start by asking your college team for suggestions. They'll appreciate that you're expressing interest, and can probably also advise you on what they're looking for.

I rowed very casually at uni, so can't really help much, but anyone trying to give advice here will probably also need more information. What's your general fitness level and rowing experience? Have you any idea of specific tests you'll be performing for them (2k test etc.) and how long you have to prepare?

Hey /fit/.

I've been cutting for about 2-3 weeks now, and haven't had a single drop of alcohol.

I want to continue this, but tonight I'm having a couple friends over and I'll probably drink about 3-4 light beers.

Will this ruin a lot of progress or make me gain weight? What if I jog and do lots of cardio the next days after and stop drinking after that for another couple months?

Also I'm planning to eat low fat today before I drink and fewer calories.

Any ideas how to make it better on me?
I know people are going to say, don't drink, but seriously? We need to have fun once inawhile or else what the hell is the point?

I had 4 shots of jack and 3 pbrs last night and hit a new pr this morning. Just get enough protein for the day and leave a little bit of space for the extra calories. Drink water before bed or you're gonna feel like shit at the gym tomorrow.

Other than health and balance reasons not really. Chicken legs can look kind of goofy, but if you're just lifting to get girls you'll have more luck focusing upper body than lower body.

have any of you tried microdosing shrooms / lsd? supposedly it increases cardiovascular gains but most of its benefits are in mental and psychological health. microdosing is taking a quantity every 2-4 days that is sub-par to the 'threshold' level of a psychedelic drug or in other words less than the quantity at which it would begin to inebriate you. with shrooms, a microdose is generally anywhere in the realm of less than 1 gram, most commonly .25 grams or .5 grams. you dehydrate them at a low temp (if you dont receive them already dried, which is absolutely bonkers if you arent growing / picking yourself) and put your desired quantity into a gel capsule and take it on a schedule.

im really considering this. before i started working out i fucked around with drugs and when i had my stint with psychedelics, the day after and even during, all i could think about was bettering my life. i always worked out and worked out hard the week after and felt whole and happy. both drugs also give you a clean, natural feeling type of energy. nothing like a stimulating buzz of caffeine.

Ive taken a quarter tab of acid and a half tab of acid before. Done acid 8 times and normally take 1-2 tabs.

Acid has a crazy high tolerance level tho so if u plan on taking it every 2-4 days, youre gonna need to take a lot more than what you started with.

The quarter tab was fun. Took it at a party while i was drinking. Normally would never recommend mixing the 2 but this was a blast. Put me in a great mood.

Half tab was probably slightly too high to consider it as microdosing. Still had some visuals but didnt completely impair me. I was cheesin the entire time tho. Took it in the woods and an hour after the peak i was good enough to use my chainsaw.
