Is thre anything wrong about lifting whitout a diet? I've been in the gym for about 8 months now, I always make sure to eat enough proteins but carbs and other stuff I don't give a shit. I just eat whatever is in front me. I hear my body will end up looking like a barrel(pic related).

I'm 23 and in the US. I spent a little over 10 years of my life swimming. I got tired of having a shit ottermode physique, so I started bodybuilding. Then i tried swimming again and my gains just made me slow as fuck. So I stopped swimming, continued to lift, and took up rugby for a year in college. It was fun but I was absolute shit at it, so I quit. I then tried boxing. Gains slow you down. Nope. Now I'm currently doing BJJ for about 3 months, I'm learning technique and using to use my strength efficiently... But i've found it to be boring to be honest.
Should I stick with BJJ? Just say Fuc sports and just bodybuild? Maybe do crossshit? What does /fit/ recommend? Something where being strong will actually help my performance would be cool.

Go climb. Learn for a few months in a gym and then find a way to learn outdoors. Nothing beats spending 3-4 hours swinging leads and climbing a 300m+ wall. Everything has to be strong to do it ;)

I'm looking for other meal ideas. For this week I'm cycling between salmon and chicken. All the containers have brown rice, squash, brussels sprouts and onion.
It's a solid meal but I know I'll get tired of the same thing. I have some chicken left over and thin cut steaks for next week.

Rice is pretty course and fibrous. Never had issues with it. I steam the veggies but not for too long so they still have crunch but aren't impossible to chew. The only thing that gets soggy is the squash

Despite what BJJ nut huggers would like you to believe, the majority of all self defense altercations do not goto the ground. A boxer has superior stand up and footwork which is enough to end something in a few seconds.

I'm considering only showering once a week, does anyone have experience with infrequent showering/bathing?
While talking to my girlfriend last night she mentioned that she only showers once a week.
This surprised me as she actually smells very appealing to me without using deodorant or the like.
I asked her what she would think if I started showering weekly and she said she'd love it and likes the way I smell.
Seems like you'd need to still wash your ass and foreskin daily to maintain cleanliness, but is anything else really needed?
I went two months without showering in the mountains and felt great.
