What supplements do you use, /fit/?
I was thinking of getting this, just out of convenience, wanna start having a shake pre workout, always get tired halfway through, and some protons would be helpful.

I think vanilla is the best because it mixes well with just about anything and if you're in a pinch you can just mix it with water and it will taste okay.

I find having a whey shake in me before lifting can make it hard to perform properly on deadlifts and squats as it feels like I'm gonna be sick when I'm moving max weight.
Get unflavoured if you can be bothered adding other stuff to make it taste nice. Otherwise just pick a flavour you will like for ultimate convenience.
I would take ZMA, a good diet probably won't give you enough zinc.
Creatine is worth taking. Gives a small boost to performance that will add up over the long term.
Glucosamine sulphate is also a good option. Helps keep joints healthy.
What do you think about this 3 foods only diet? You're getting most important nutrients from the peanutbutter and the bananas and b12 from the chicken.
This diet would only run you around 12 bucks a day where I live (central europe) and it's easy as shit to follow. Just prepare the chicken and keep it in some kind of tupperware for the rest make sure, that you always buy a fresh supply of banans every day or every other day if you keep them in the fridge and just stock up on peanutbutter and always have a sealed cup ready before finishing the one you're on.

Sugar from fruits like bananas won't do you any harm. Ask any doctor. A normal person can eat 6 bananas a day without ever fearing to become diabetic or some shit. Just eat one every 2 or so hours to make sure you always have a stable blood sugar level, energy levels and insulin release. With this diet you're getting around 100g of protein a day, that's enough for most adult males to maintain their muscle, even on a cut. If you're hurr big stron man, feel free to add one or half a chicken breast. And you're getting around 25g of fibre a day, and that's more than most people get. 14g per 1000kcal of food is recommended so for 1600 calories that would be around 23g of fibre, so you're getting enough of that too.

Heres an anecdote: wrist injuries from work used to take months to heal. I started lifting and it went from months to weeks and now my last injury healed over night. Its pretty neat.

I've read the sticky and I believe I know the answer to this question.
Guy at my gym is friendly and has joined my girlfriend and buddy and I for a few workouts now.
However, his advice is contradictory to what I already understand. I will give examples.
1. With Shoulder Raises, such as ones shown on Scooby's channel, doing each arm separately is how I would perform the exercise. To him, this makes no sense and it would only make sense to do it with both arms. I believe this encourages cheating on the form, and might be engaging muscles other than isolating the shoulders.
2. With leg press, I manage 350kg for 5x5, after a few sessions he has advised me to NOT increase the weight and to maintain 350 or an even lower weight for two months. To him, muscles are like brains, they must learn how to lift a specific weight which makes later weights easier.
HOWEVER. I was and still am, under the impression that you need to be upping the weight slowly but surely until you plateau.
Please help.

Why do normal people refuse to believe others use roids?
This is a 1 year transformation that my girlfriends former anorexic friend made.

2 months ago I was consuming around 3000 calories a day and I sat at work all day (I have a desk job). I woke up one day and said I was sick of being a fat ass so I wanted to lose weight. Since then I have started:
>Eating 1700 or less calories a day
>Avoid fried foods
>Avoid all prepackaged foods
>started crossfit (its better than nothing)
>eat less red meat more fish and chicken
However even with these changes in my diet I have only lost a total of 7 pounds. In the past 2 days (I had lost a total of 13 pounds) I have some how gained 8 pounds even though I have worked out both days and eaten less than 1600 calories each day.
What the fuck am I doing wrong?
