How do you get the motivation to work out by yourself? I wanna ride a bike outside to get some sort of exercise but my public fears are getting in the way. I'm a little overweight in the stomache and underweight everywhere else. for 170pds 5'11 male.

I started taking celexa last week so hopefully that does something. I'm never gonna feel better if I don't force myself to leave the house and go outside though. Plus I used to work out and I feel better about myself when/after working out. I just need some tips on how to how to keep my mind focused. Maybe I just gotta do it.

It made me extremely uncomfortable just to watch him do this. He did this for 3-4 sets with very high reps (8 or 10, I think). I just sat there and said nothing. I had the volume lowered on my earbuds expecting to hear a crack any moment but it didn't come.

Would you have told him in this situation? I mean if he goes to snap city, there's less people in the gym and more equipment time for me, right?

Hi /fit/

I'm new here. And I've been working out lately. So far I've list 2pounds. I walk 22min and run 4min I'm not in a diet but I try to portion myself
I've been running lately and my shins hurt shin splints maybe ?
And any tips on how I could loose more weight faster I count calories etc along with that I want to start doing squats again yet when I do. Later down the road. My knee ends up slipping out of place ... And I also want to build my arms up which is no problem yet I build muscle easily but I only have 3 pound weights and a8pound weight ball. Sorry for all the questions.

Can you actually get back to a flat "stomach" once you've gained a bit of a gut?

I had always been a skelly, last 2-3 years i tried to gain some weight, before I got into lifting.
Looked bigger, but got a belly gut.
Now I've been lifting for 5 months, look slightly better but I fear that I fucked up and will have this fucking gut forever.

Alright brehs, I need your opinion on something. I've just had a random blood test and it turns out my pituitary is working overtime stimulating my thyroid to keep hormone levels normal. This is what's called subclinical hypothyroidism, and while it's not a problem on its own, it can develop into hypothyroidism if my thyroid stops responding. Should I go for T4 treatment?

Also, I recently lost 22 pounds by eating under my caloric maintenance. I have been really punishing my body, basically starving myself AND doing cardio and lifting. Could this stress have caused the drop in thyroid function? Can it stabilize itself if I eat at maintenance for a while?

I'm a 5'6 manlet, 29 years old. 167.55 pounds at the moment. I've been gaining muscle but I still have a lot of fat to get rid of.

Son, take a break from training and eat at a slight surplus for a few weeks. You've got overtraining syndrome from running at a deficit too long, it's fucked your hormones all outta whack.

BTW 22 pounds is a nice chunk of weight. Congrats on losing it but don't lose sight of the over goal, which is better health and fitness. Sometimes you gotta know when to pack it in for a while.
