Hey /fit/, I'm a 19 year old fatty (5'10 180lbs male) and I'm going to starve myself. My parents have an exercise bike and i have some <25 pound barbells and a red rope thing from when i was like 16. I'm planning to starve myself today, use the exercise bike and watch sports, exercise, and maybe fry an egg or something.

any advice? should i not do it? (i read the sticky and i'm following more calories out than in.)

hope this is bait, but if not you body keeps itself alive and well like a motor, fuel in exaust out. This machine runs at your metabolic rate, so basically if you starve yourself, your body doesnt have enough time to adjust the speed of your engine and just goes into shutdown instead. You can loose wait super fast from starving but as soon as you stop youre just gonna get fat again. To actually change your metabolism you need to start good habbits like working out and eating well that over time will lead to good sustainable results

I've been taking around a gram of piracetam per day for a few weeks now.

Hey /fit/ my gf told me she'd like to join me to the gym starting from August 1st in her quest to lose some weight. She's 5'7" and weighs 65kg. Her goal is 60kg.

I've been training for 2.5 years but I only know strength routines. What should she occupy herself with in the gym? Cardio? Squats? Does squatting while eating at a deficit even do anything?

Hello fit. I have a 28yo sister that is a womanlet and also a fatty. Shes not obese but fat. I try to motivate her by eating healthy and working out but she doesnt seem that interested. She exercises sometimes but when i try to bring her regularly she makes some excuse to stay at home.

And she often gets fastfood and im tired of arguing why she shouldnt eat them so often.

How can I motivate her beyond what ive been trying?

Take baby steps start out by tell her she can do low intensity cardio for 10-15 min.Maybe a fast walk around the block . Then introduce her to weights slow at first. In time she'll enjoy it enough to want to push her self.

Sup /fit/, I've got a real problem that I need help with.

So I actually managed to get this girl to fall for me, she's basically my oneitis, is crazy hot and is wayyy out of my league, but I managed to win her by basically becoming a completely different human to how I usually am.

When I am alone, I am nerdy, very introverted, I like to play video games and listen to sigur ros, I like movies and books and history and other kinda "lame" stuff but I'm regardless very happy.

When I am around this girl however, I deliberately switch to a different person, I pretend to have no association with nerdy things or video games and I pretend to like the things she likes, like rap music and sports and shit like that, and I'm very good at carrying conversations on these subjects and manipulating her perception of me to where she earnestly believes I have a passion for the same things she does. I fucking don't though, I hate rap music and sports, fucking shits gay.

My question is, do I completely drop her due to the fact that I'm consistently lying to her about who I am and what I like and I'm clearly not a mentally sound person if I'm capable of manipulating her so much and we are completely incompatible due to our differences and she would be disgusted if she ever knew the real me?

Or is there an unseen benefit to our relationship? Do my attempts to appreciate her lifestyle force me out of my introverted shell and help me realize greater possible passions in myself? Can she change me into a better person if I open up to her about my other hobbies bit by bit? is it unrealistic for me to assume there aren't things we could learn from each other? Will she even care?
