i made the mistake of going on a walk, and after an hour (at least 20 minutes of which was sitting down) my legs were aching, my shins were throbbing with pain, my chest hurt, and i couldn't stop pouring sweat.

I went for a walk at 5pm in the evening, took the train in to central London which took roughly half an hour, then I just walked until 22.40 when I took the train back, then walked back home from the station which added about half an hour.
Walking really isn't that bad, and it's not even like I do it often. Maybe you have flat feet?

Hey /fit/,

I'm doing good on my lifting and losing weight, but my cardio sucks. I used to dance ~3 nights a week, but my job schedule changed and I'm starting to notice the loss. I'm looking for new Cardio options.

I have really bad flat feet. Even with prescription inserts, my legs are tight all the time. I can walk or dance as long as I want, but running, cycling, etc totally destroys me, even if it's just on gym machines. There doesn't seem to be many other options in the gym for cardio that don't kill my feet or knees.

Any suggestions for outside the gym cardio stuff with a bit more activity? Dancing was good due to social component. When I was younger I did some martial arts, but they generally aren't intensive enough. I'd box or something if there wasn't such a risk of injury.

5'9", 149 pounds. guessing 20-22% body fat?

im starting lifting as soon as my adjustable dumbbells arrive. given how disgustingly skinnyfat i am, what is my best course of action? assuming 3-5 hours of lifting a week my TDEE will be 2500 cal/day. i'm thinking about eating 2500 calories per day and aiming for a lean bulk. thoughts?
