why does everything that tastes even a little good pack on calories so fast? All im left with is eating green vegetables with no taste
>>38093015
you can eat all of that stuff, just eat less of it
stop being a drama queen faggot
LOL man, you're doing it all wrong. Don't eat calorie dense fruits, eat papaya, cantaloupe, apples, pears, pineapple...so many fruits to list. Eat quality meat, fruits and veg and the weight will fly off.
>>38093028
BUT I HAVE TO EAT THE EXACT SERVING SIZE AMOUNT
YOU IDIOT
HOW ELSE CAN I PROPERLY COUNTY THE CALORIES
Hi /fit/
I started losing hair at the age of 16. I am now 20 and my hair is really thin (not the hair itself but the distance between the hairs is larger than before) and since a few weeks I am noticing that my hair Line is reducing slightly
Should I take minoxidil or is it a scam to take your money? I read there aren't any noticeable side effects, but would it be problematic/negative for my workouts?
Are there other, better medicines? Anyone with the same problem?
>inb4 just shave yourself bald
If there is no good (aka no significant side effects/money stealing scam medicine) medical solution, I will shave.
I'd rather be bald and big than having hair while being skelly
>>38093009
Minoxidil works but you have to use it religiously once or twice a day preferably. Takes around a month or two to start noticing hair gains and said gains are so slight, think of hair which has already been lost growing back as peach fuzz. I use it and just trim my hair really short so it's all the same length. Works pretty well in that case. Wouldn't advise growing out hair with it, makes it obvious its receding. Or shave head.

>even worse hair situation than my dad
>even worse hair situation than left pic
>inb4 just shave yourself bald
>kinda weirdly coneheady shaped head (not too much distinctly but still insecure about it)

Supp /fit/. I am a newcommer in this board, and i recently started running. I did 4 km (3 miles, i guess) in +- 30 min. Is it as pathethic as i think it is? I am not fat, but i am unfit, and i very recently quited smoking. Any tips?
pic are fit girls because i don't have nothing else to post here
bump
According to google, 25 minutes is a reasonable time for a 5k. So I guess 30 minutes for 4k isn't very good
>>38092922
It's not great. At all. But that's not important. It's important that you keep working at it until it becomes great
/fit/, my bank teller is a busty qt and I'm pretty sure she's single. I'm not deluded enough to ignore the fact that bank tellers and anyone in customer service have to be friendly, but the way she always is the first to tell me her both is open, even when it's busy as fuck tells me that she's at least interested. Tell me how to go about asking her out without looking like a total dumbass /fit/.
I fucked two of my bank tellers. and neither of them were impressed by my balance.
>>38092817
Hey toots, I know you don't wanna hear about balancing checkbooks and shit. How bout you balance your assets on my bottom line?
>>38092842
How did you do it?
>yfw Jason Blaha has been right all along (in regards to how you should train)
Seriously, I've been lifting fur the last 6 years and been doing routines like brosplits, ppl routines, and phat routines. Although I did get good results doing that in both size and strenght, something about it just didn't feel right, my body never really seemed to get used to the training, like I couldn't recover in time, always felt tired outside of the gym, technique on my lifts never felt right, or at least as good as they should have been.
But still, I avoided full body routines because I doubted that just a few sets of some compounds could do anywhere near as much as the shit I was doing on my splits.
Recently as of 6 months ago I switched to a Full body routine as a "test" and I've fallen in love with this style of training. It's amazing to me how a few sets of compounds is can have such an effect on the body. Despite the fact I've been lifting for 6 years I've managed to make significant progress on the full body. My 5 rep maxes (back on the split routines) have now become my 10-12 rep maxes and I am getting bigger and leaner at the same time despite having extinguished noob gains years ago.
It's amazing what the high frequency of training can do combined with a lot of rest days, my lifting health and overall performance has drastically improved.
If you are like what I use to be (terrified of trying a full body in the fear you'd lose all your gains and turn into a fat fuck) I'd seriously suggest you give full body a go, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
>He fell for the bro split meme
No one here shits on full body for nattys
I was doing PPL and i made some good gains and definitely look a lot better. Switching to canditos 6 week program which focuses on a upper lower split and im hoping its just as good. just finishing up week 1.

Jason blaha isnt weong about fullbody.
Literally everyone but jason will tell you to do fullbody.
Ever hear of menno henselmans, dr. Eric helms, mark rippetoe, or pretty mich every nom roider liftkng expert???!
Blahas routine is literally the WORST fullbody in existence

His face compensates for his body. Imagine your typical /fit/ user's face on that body. Would just come off as a scrawny dude.

trips confirms that your opinion is fucking useless kek
Do you find yourself not moving out of the way for people if you are jacked? Do you find yourself being more assertive in general? I make it a priority so they will finally learn.
>making a scene in public over trivial shit
>coming across as the angry, insecure, compensating short guy
That's really dumb. You can do fine in life without worrying about shit like that

Just how bad is it to smoke like 30 minutes after lifting/doing cardio?
>>38092177
well if you smoke a nigga s'all good
Is that pic really true in the context of working out or just empty optimism?
>>38092278
True no doubt. Once going to the gym becomes part of a weekly rutine it gets much easier to do it.
Also, if you do cardio you will be able to run longer and faster after a while, you just have to keep going.
What music do you listen to when you lift?

Diet science,
So this might be a stupid question but here it goes,
To gain weight/muscle you need to eat in a caloric surplus with enough protein jadajada.
Building muscle is a long process but my question is basicly if you eat at a surplus for a week and then a week of deficit would you be able to keep the muscle and not gain fat or would the progress be stalled because longterm you eat at a maintenence?
Please excuse my spelling i dont speak much english..
nobody knows for sure. and anything anyone tells you in this thread will be purely conjecture and bullshitting.
>>38091730
AFAIK there have been no scientific studies concerning this.
I've heard of people who do very short bulking and cutting cylces. Like 2 week bulk 1 week cut. No idea if it's actually effective but I don't see why it wouldn't be. Try it out for yourself and see if you get the gains you want.
>>38091730
it may be possbile, i asked this exact same question in a thread a while ago and i got mixed answers.
i'll try to use logic and my knowledge as best as possbile to give you a sort of an aswer.
you won't gain muscle on week and lose fat on the next week because when you add up the calorie intakes for each week you will likely get a monthly maintenance intake. or maybe you'll get a deficit, maybe you'll get a surplus it all depends on you. but all in all it would just be a method of slowly bulking, or slowly cutting since it's pretty hard to figure out, and to stick to your monthly tdee

Yeah buddy.
I used to be a fatty and remember that amazing feeling of seeing a new number on the scale for the first time.
One day you will look at it and see a 1 as the first number. Don't even doubt that.
Yup but you still have a long way to go,it won't be easy, but is it worth it?Fuck yeah it is.
