Any advice for a 5"9, 130lb, 18 year-old skelly? I want to go to get fit, but I'm afraid people will judge me. I have no idea how to go about working out and building body mass or muscle. And I feel intimidated just thinking about going to the gym alone and making a fool out of myself because I don't know what to do.

Basically, just looking for general advice from other people that used to be like me.

First time on /fit/, so excuse me if this is against the rules or just out of place...

Firstly you need to learn how to eat a lot.
Before you say you eat a lot already, believe me, you don't.
You cannot gain weight (mass) without the necessary calories. Even if you eat shitloads of protein, you won't gain anything if you don't get enough calories.

Read the sticky for some beginner workouts.
You won't look like a fool in the gym because nobody cares what others are doing, and also half the big guys in any gym workout like retards, but results come due to hard effort and consistency, not particular routines or specific exercises

Recovering skelly here. I've gone from 116 lbs to 124 lbs over the past several weeks. That picture is really accurate. Once I started my bulking diet I realized that I was actually eating very little food before. I'm eating around 3000 calories a day now and it feels like twice as much as I used to eat.

Trying to eat healthy and this shit happens to me:

Yesterday evening I opted to have a quick dinner at Subway. I enjoy their moderate prices and fresh vegtables.

I got my typical order of a Footlong tuna salad sub with extra cucumbers and Italian dressing on wheat with a bag of baked lays and a diet Dr. Pepper. The total came to $6.84 which is fairly affordable for such a mild meal. But after I ordered the problems began.

As the customer service representative was finishing my sandwich, I had the urge to use the men's room, I excused myself and took care of business.

When I returned the teller was glaring at me and didn't wish me a nice evening after the transaction was complete. I sat and ate my meal in silence and then left. I didn't even feel comfortable reading one of their complementary newspapers.

It should be the responsibility of all employees to make the customers feel welcome and happy. I didn't have a good experience and was hoping to get in touch with someone at Subways corporate office. Who do you think I should direct my question to?

Depends on how far you're running. Once you get to high distances like a marathon and above, cortisol levels start to rise, I think.
I believe it's the reason, I think, Ryan Hall quit running recently and switched to lifting due to low testosterone levels.
You see marathon runners and they're skinny as fuck, but that's because a large amount of muscle would be a disadvantage.
If you're going to do cardio and run a small distance like 10 miles, then just eat more.

If I don't get laid on a regular basis (as in, I never get laid), would no fap be a bad idea? I mean to say, would it be deleterious for my testosterone levels? As of now, I only masturbate once every 5-7 days, and am considering just cutting it out since it makes me feel pathetic. However, I'm worried about my testosterone levels dropping if I do. Since I work out, test levels are important, which is why I still masturbate every week or so. Has anyone noticed bad side effects from nofap? Decreased libido, not being able to stay hard, etc?

Unless you have a genuine endocrine disorder, your body is pretty good at maintaining and regulating hormone levels. Working out will cause your body to upregulate testosterone over time, but we're talking over periods of a year/several years.

I've been bro-splitting for five months, maintained a six pack the whole time, my muscle has been growing, slowly though, and my weight progression is very slow, like 10 kg on bench in 3 months slow, but it's growing, and so does the muscle.
I have a pathologic hatred of being fat and I can't stuff my face with food, I'm okay with slow progress.
