Whats the best thing (routine) to do while bulking? Something like a PPL, or something like a 5x5? Since im done doing my first cut, im thinking a PPL style routine with all the compound lifts of a 5x5 + lots of iso's that dont get worked on a routine like a 5x5 would bring me the most gains...
Since im still pretty skinny but with some strength, i think this plan paired with the surplus of clean calories and creatine about a month or two in is the best route.
What say ye? Post what routines if any, that you switch to when bulking.

guys help please. i can only do like 14 pushups at the moment and my max bench is around 100LB for 1rep. and i cant do a single pull-up at all but my max row amount (pendlay rows) is 90LB
i need to get these numbers higher because i am need to join my countries military soon. they test weightlifting+bodyweight exercises.
i am only a few pounds overweight maybe 15-20LB so i dont know why i am so weak at pullup/pushup.

tl;dr version: I can only seem to put on muscle and keep my blood sugar normal by eating some kind of fat (avocado, nuts) or animal protein (eggs, meat, full fat yogurt) with every meal.

I've struggled with hypoglycemia and being a hungry skellington my whole life.
I have Crohn's disease, and I end up with serious vitamin deficiencies if I'm not constantly taking prescription supplements. My doctor suspects I'm just not absorbing enough from my food.
Since I started lifting and working out, the problem has been getting more serious. If I can add an egg or two or similar to each of my meals, it really helps to stave off the hypoglycemia for extra couple of hours.
I know some ideas about the role of fats in nutrition have changed in the last couple of decades. However, as a child of the 80s I've had it drilled into me that eating like this will kill me, and that athletes thrive on diets like the Pritikin plan.
Are there any oldfags on here who can either tell me

Has anyone here successfully gotten with a fat/chubby gf and turned her fit/thicc?
I have a girl I can go serious with at the moment, but I want to know if it'll be worth the effort to lead her into fitness.
In every other way she's satisfactory to me, even the sex. My parents like her, her parents like me. She has absolutely no issue with me being completely masculine and dominant in the relationship.
We've been together about 7 months, and I want to get her healthy, especially since we both want to have kids down the line.
I don't have a problem leaving her, I've been through worse, but I would rather go through the effort of molding her into a healthy wife. I just want to know if it's been done before.

If it helps paint a better picture, she's been doing a small amount of cardio regularly and consistently.
It's negligible in comparison to her eating, but she's at least built a habit of going to the gym.
We don't work out together due to work schedules, and she tells me often about how other girls stare at me when I'm with her.
I'm not talking about her doing this on her own, my intention is to effectively control her meals and influence directly what she cooks for herself. I'm leaving very little room for her agency, not because I don't think she can do it, but because I think me controlling her for a solid 2-3 months will set in the correct habits for her to be autonomous down afterwards.
The real question is if it'll actually work that way. I know studies on developing habits say that all it takes is 2-3 months time of consistency, but I'm unsure if that applies to directed/guided activities.
