I've been avoiding the mixed grip because I don't like the idea of asymmetric exercises but going over 3pl8 I'm finding my grip strenght to be the limiting factor. obviously I'm working on my grip strenght but in the meanwhile I think I should switched to mixed grip.
how does mixed grip work in practice? do you pick one side and go with it for the day? switch hands between sets? switch after reps? should I expect a momentary drop in my lifts as I change grips?

I do 3x5 mixed-grip at 80% of my max and then 2x12 double-overhand at 60% of my max.
The only thing I'd say is be careful not to pull your arm up at the start of the rep, especially on the side with the inward facing Palm, I did it a couple times when I first started mixed-grip and it's a great way to fuck your shit up, make sure you keep that arm nice and straight.
Other than that there's not many differences between the two, I have friends deadlifting 250+kg and mix-grip all the time.

Whatever minuscule, practically not noticeable imbalances that may arise are ironed out with accessory work. You may not be doing much of that for the moment being, but as you advance to where said asymmetry MIGHT become an issue, you most certainly will have needed to add accessories anyway.
However, there is no shame in training with straps either, for quite a few months I used straps in training unless I was testing my max.

It's a misunderstood state that has nothing to do with aesthetics but rather the body's defense mechanism for being starved of carbohydrates. It is extremely difficult to get into ketosis because you have to balance exact macronutrients to reduce protein and eliminate carbohydrates. Once you're there, it's not going to do anything beneficial that any other diet wouldn't.
Eliminating carbs is also worthless. They should be reduced from the standard american diet, but not eliminated. People feel good on keto because they're getting excess amounts of the complete protein they need and in the process cleaning all that coagulated shit out of their gut by basically running water-infused bile through it. But you could do the same thing by also drinking a gallon of milk, which is what I do.
Just eliminate processed foods and unnatural sugar, the rest of this shit is worthless.
Keto is controversial, but not universally hated. Works for some but not for others.
