Im gonna try codeine with some diet soda next thursday, it looks cool. Alcohol is probably the worst for gains so thats out of the question.

How the fuck do you overcome a plateau? Do you just continue lifting your max and wait for it to go away ? Do you just change the routine? Ive been on creatine for exactly 5 weeks today and was making mad gains since the beginning but for the past week I noticed my lifts have stopped rising. Im pissed off because I feel like im gaining fat for no reason if im not getting stronger.

I weigh 265 lbs and am 5'7. I'm trying to cut weight and gain some tangible muscle but I can't find a Routine that sticks. I don't even look bad for my weight but I'm left wondering what I'd look like if I was of a healthier weight. Any ideas?

When I was in a bad place mentally, it really did help me a ton, along with my diet being on point too. So, I say try it. 3 a day. I don't take it anymore, but, I used to.

Hey /fit/, I think my knee might be messed up. When I was a kid, I used to occasionally move my kneecap out of place. I think my knee might be messed up because of that, because whenever I do squats, my right knee makes this popping/cracking noise. My left knee does it to, but it's not as loud or frequent. I'm not experiencing any pain, but I'm worried that this might lead to a more serious knee injury down the road.

I looked it up online, and I think I just have patellar tracking disorder, but what do you guys think?

mine does the same thing. I have an acl tear in my left knee that I never got taken care of. i got it from football early highschool when i was cutblocked and ive had god awful problems since. people always tell me the only way to truly get done with it is to have surgery. and every once in a while when I'm not paying attention while running or soemthing my knee cap will slide out of place and my acl will tear again.

anyway. my left knee does it. it pops almost 100percent of the time when I squat.

OP, I say if it doesn't hurt, don't worry. of course since you have a past of knee problems, I would wear a knee brace that stabilizes your knee cap... I fuck up every other month because I think I don't need my knee brace. just wear it everytime you run and squat etc. IF your knee really does have a serious problem like mine, a knee brace will prevent any catastrophic damage if it ever comes to that.

I'm going to my former oneitis' birthday on Friday. I'm fatter than when she last saw me (5'7", 250 lbs. I know.) and I look very unkempt (need a haircut, have a homeless beard).

Now, I know there's not a quick fix for getting into shape. I respect that losing weight and getting fit is a slow, grueling process. But I don't want her to look at me like I let myself go. What are the most effective ways to lose weight healthily, and to look my best before Friday? Exfoliating skin-care, hairstyles and beardstyles that make me look the most handsome, etc.

I just don't want to look like shit in front of her guys, it's a pride thing.

I just had the first workout of my life earlier, and I have a couple questions /fit/.

I'm pretty skinny, not much muscle mass at all, so I started with pretty low weight on everything. I'm talking I was squatting the bar with 20lbs on each side. Anyway, I noticed on some exercises my muscles started shaking like crazy even when I didn't feel like I was getting close to the limit of what I could do. Especially on Curls...I was curling 15lbs (fml) and near the end of some of my sets my whole arm was spasming like I was having a seizure, is this shit normal?

Same with crunches, whole abdomen was spasming even when I didn't even feel like i was straining any muscle.
