Been lifting for 3 years, but I'll be the first to admit I fucked up. I did SS,PPL and SL during that time, but I didn't watch my food and I barely made gains. Food is fucking important for the newbies out there and that's an understatement... After these three wasted years I'm however burned out. Two months ago I started skipping gym sessions and now I'm lucky if I even go once in a week. I'm feeling depressed and I've lost the pitifull strength/ gains I made and returned to being skinnyfat.
I'm thinking of taking a long break and returning with new vigor. New program and actually eating right. For now my plan is to focus on other sports and get my life together. I hope to somehow drop the fat and turn skelly so I have a good base to return with. I can't even remember the times when I didnt have slight manboobs.

I already do that but my performance vary a lot. Sometimes I finish fast, sometimes I get slower, it's not consistent with me. My experience is mostly just doing long distance running in high school because my PE teacher forced me to, but now that I'm a fat fuck I wanna try to get into sprinting but it doesn't seem like I'm doing anything constructive by just sprinting.

over the last 6 months or so i've basically been trying to balance lifting, work and drinking, to moderate success.
>work is 12.5hr shifts
>2 day shifts, 2 night shifts
>come home in the morning, that day off + 4 more full days off
i usually go out with mates once a week and drink a fair bit (20 standards or so) and it's very enjoyable. i'll usually smoke a cigarette with every beer too, although i've been curbing this lately by being a vaping faggot. i don't smoke at all unless i'm out on a drinking night. because i work a 9 day roster most of my weekends are free, luckily some of my friends are degenerates and are willing to hound during the week with me. i know this is terrible for gains: not only because having a drinking night completely demotivates wanting to go to the gym, but it also ruins any gains made earlier that day (via liver prioritising the processing of alcohol over protein). it also fucks your body up in other ways, one of them being just a shit tonne of calories turning you into a fat fuck.
anyway, does anybody else have a lifestyle like this? it seems to be going well so far, my lifts are progressing slowly and i'm not putting on weight because i have enough will to keep a decent diet.
basically i'm mostly happy with this lifestyle, but there is something deep inside me which is unnerved about it and i'm not sure if this is normal behaviour, or if i'm being a fucking degenerate.

I did this when cut and realized that i couldn't get rid of my belly fat. Everything I've read says that alcohol and carbs in excess cause the body to store more fat around the stomach.
You're probably fine if you don't give a shit about that and just want gainz, but i had to cut alcohol to 1/mo in order to finally get rid of stomach fat.
I also found that after drinking I was worse about saying no to shitty food, but that's just a personal thing.

2 issues
1. My pectineus (I am assuming) on my left hip hurts when I do deep squats. Stretching seems to relieve the pain
2. My shoulder feels like it's going to pop out of it's socket, everytime I do rows, so I stopped doing them altogether.

I made a big bowl of tuna salad for sandwiches to make quickly for my lunch.
For recipes I just go on Serious Eats and make something that looks good. I cook for myself use the full portions they recommend so I have lots of leftovers.

I make chinky stir fry.
Sautee veggies, 1 cup soy sauce, oyster sayce to taste, a bit of sugar, cornstarch to thicken. Taste good, low cal.
Chicken and plain white rice boiled with a couple of star anus pods. Toss in some some pretty good.
Make dumplings with cabbage tofu mushroom or whatever the fuck. You can even buy the wraps if you're too lazy to make your own dough. Pretty worth it honestly and super easy to tract macros since you know what is in each dumpling.
Sunday spit roast. Grab a big hunk of beef make sure it has decent fat around it. If not buy fat separately. Uber hot thick pan, sear on all sides. toss into a baking bowl thingy with some water carros onion mushroom whatever the fuck else. Apply heat until 'feels' ready. Some wine to deglaze for bonus points.
bake some chicken cut up and make salads.
If you're bulking then eat whatever the fuck you just don't go over 500 surplus.
I'm slightly Skinnyfat and just want a little muscle.
