As a skinny but lean beginner, is it better to do 3x8 sets or just keep it 5x5?

I do 3x5 and went 2pl8: 5/ 4/ 1 on Thursday.
Today I did 5/5/5 like it was nothing, geniunely didn't break a sweat.
Your strength isn't always on top, you might have slept a bit too little or eaten a bit too little or maybe you weren't in the mood. Use your failure for motivation.
Has anyone here ever had to quit drugs or lose friends in order to make it? If so how do you deal with the temptation and stop cold turkey.

Had to quit speed and coke a few years back. Was getting to the point where I didn't have any money for other things despite working 50+ hours a week.
For me I dealt with the temptation by keeping by the money that would have been spent on the drugs and putting it into a box under my bed.
Whenever I got really tempted and thought about going into the box to get some money out, I'd remind myself to count through the money and think of what I can buy instead. Useful things or things that would bring me enjoyment in the long term... Then if I wanted to I'd take some of the money and go buy something cool.
One time it an expensive pair of shoes that I usually wouldn't have the money for. Another time it was a new bar for my home gym since I let the other one rust by accident. Other times it was just surprise gifts for the girlfriend like a random bracelet that looked cool or movie tickets etc.
Lasted about 6 months before I realized I had completely quit and only had one slip up within the first week before I came up with the box idea.

1 month in, cutting the whole month (Want to get to 10-12% and then do a lean bulk once I'm happy with how I look naked).
It's been really great. I've been cutting, losing fat, and getting stronger.
My veins are actually starting to push out of my skin, my lifts are going up big time, when I flex my forearm I can actually see you know, valleys and crevices in it, not just one uniform lump, I can actually flex my pecs, my thighs are getting YUGE,
Anyways, I see it posted a lot here how you can't 'Gain muscle or lose fat unless you are new or roiding'.
How long can I expect to gain muscle while losing fat? 1 more month? 3 more months?

depends on a lot of factors like genetics, routine, nutrition. sleep and god knows what else. generally as long as you get stronger it is not unreasonable to assume that you are building muscle. eventually you will plateau or progression will slow down a lot and at that point you might need to eat more.

You can only really gain muscle on a cut when you're quite seriously overweight (way in excess of 20% bf) even as a novice. So if you're already in the normal range probably not very long.

Took like 6-8 months for me to reach a real plateau where no matter what I would do, I wouldn't increase weight/gains without switching to bulk mode.

Is it safe to do a full body workout every other day? I only have limited days I can get to the gym, and latley instead of doing upperbody or lowerbody I just do full body strenth workouts.
I am trying to gain as much as I can without getting fat.
If I go every other day I will be at the gym 4-5 times a week, is that over training?
I typically work out for 60-90 minutes, I push my self and raise the weight each week.

If I lost 10kg, (80kg to 70kg) I'd be fairly shredded, since I'm already lean at 80kg.
If you're like 100kg and went to 90kg and you're still carrying around a fat fucking gut, then yeah, having a cheat isn't exactly the best idea.
