How would I go about fixing my posture, /fit/? I was born with a sway back and I got a forward head from gaming for the past 10 years.
I should have asked this question a while ago but lately my shoulders and lower back are starting to fucking hurt, especially when I'm consciously correcting my sitting posture.

(I'm pic-related right side in case it isn't clear)

not memeing. deadlifts and squats will help a lot with your posture. just have someone teach you how to do them correctly and always make sure your form is perfect. over time (and combined with other back exercises) it will strengthen your spinal erectors and core which work together to pull your spine into place upright and keep it there with little effort.

another thing to be aware of regarding posture is that whenever you're just walking around make sure you're passively thinking about standing up as straight as possible. pull your shoulders back slightly and put just the slightest bit of tension in your abs. check your posture in the mirror at night and practice it and memorize the feeling of correct alignment. eventually this will become second nature and you'll be surprised how much more confident you feel just walking around. good posture is a sign of virility. people notice

quick question/fit/, doing couch to 5k and i was wondering if i ran more consistently than the program specifies, say 6 days a week, should i be skipping to the next week after 3 days of running? or should i still expect the 9 weeks to be my target for running 5k?

Just stick to the program. You don't want to overdo it and get injured. I've never had an injury from lifting; they have all come from running. So take it slow.

My family is going through a horribly stressful time right now and for the first time ever I've found myself eating a lot more than usual as I guess out of emotional reactivity.

I'm most overreating on shit like cucumbers, carrots and apples and an extra serving or two of shit like plain brown rice and barley, so it's not like I'm binging on ice cream, but I'm a bit worried. I'm still pretty lean with striations and shit so maybe I can afford it, though.

So, my question: have you as a /fit/ person gone through periods of emotional eating that you've recovered from? It doesn't last forever, right?

had a fucking heart attack today because of a retard..

was doing paired sets and while i was away from squat rack some guy took off weight from the right side of the bar. i came back from the left side so naturally i didn't notice it and assumed everything was as i left it. the guy even saw me come back and never said anything.

i positioned myself under the bar, tightened everything and lifted it up explosively expecting heavy resistance only to literally launch the right side in the air. the left side which had more weight on took a nosedive and raised the bar straight in the air. by then it was already too late to stop it and all i could do is let go. once it hit the ground it fell to the opposing squat rack.

luckily it was early in the morning and nobody was doing squats there. i don't even want to imagine what would happen if someone would be there at the time. best case scenario his head would get caved in.

biggest wake up call for me and the retard who took the weight off.

went to management and told them what happened. guy checked video and went to have a chat with him. didn't see him return for the rest of my workout.

Not the most exciting story but I had to do 4 years of PE in high school and I didn't want to senior year so I picked the easiest one my school had and all we did was play badminton and go bowling. Me and a friend kicked everyone's ass in badminton. Our gym teacher was the school's badminton coach, so she had us play the best badminton players on her team during class one day and we fucking destroyed them. The amount of butthurt that ensued was amazing. She then tried to recruit us both for the team. We refused because she was a bitch. Felt good, man.
