is this thing a meme?
i already do planks and leg raises and dont wanna waste time in a meme exercise.
its worthwhile?
>>39279623
Scooby likes them.
I mean, it's 5 bucks. Try it yourself.
>>39279623
btw planks, ab wheel and leg raises only do your abs aka rectus abdominis isometrically, if you werent aware...I got much better results with my abs when i started doing exercises in which i actually dynamically contract them.
>>39279640
People usually go into further detail when explaining how they got better results.

And another one
>Whatever it takes g'dmit
>social anxiety
>first time at gym
>wake up 5am go in for 6am to avoid people
>gym is packed anyway
>feel everyone's eyes on me as I awkwardly walk around trying to find exercises to do
>finally find the squat/deadlift racks
>first time lifting, start getting pumped
>can't lift for shit, deadlift 20kg (couldn't go higher without breaking form) squat 20kg
>fuck it at least I made it through the doors
>start feeling really comfortable not worrying about people looking at me
>get to bench-presses I've been avoiding
>3x5 of 10kg
>literally reach my limit at 15th rep and random personal trainer (a girl) has to help me get it back on rack
FUCKING KILL ME. Another personal trainer approached me when I was leaving and got me to organise two meetings to get me started, desu it's a good idea.
have a shitty reaction gif
You accomplished more than a lot of people do, most people don't even make it through the door.
Gotta start somewhere Bro. I mean.. Oh could of at least done push-ups and stuff at home first. Basic stuff. But the pt is clearly a good idea. Don't give up.
>>39279350
I started with the bar on every lift
>be dyel gym newfag
>ripped as fuck dude showing his friend how to squat properly
>I suck at squats so I watch and listen from the rack next to his
>big dude slowly stops talking and looks at me
>I kind of give him a half smile because I wasn't expecting that
>umm can I help you?
>oh I was just seeing how you're supposed to squat. I'm new to the gym haha
>yeah yeah ok
>buff dude gives me the most condescending look I've ever seen and his friend smirks at me
Wtf did I break some sort of gym code? I feel like a dildo
No man you are all good. Being new is not wrong. People even do that to others at Yugioh tournaments. Weebs do it to weebs and /fit/ does it to /fit/
>>39279293
No it's the buff dude that is a faggy faggot
Oh lawd you just got pranked man

is this attainable natty?
>>39279247
No you need onnit supplements
Only if you wanna call GOMAD natty.
Pro tip: It isn't. Cows are full of hormones.
>>39279247
U jelly ?
/Cardio General/ lads. Get in here.
Because if you aren't doing cardio in addition to lifting, you probably aren't /fit/.
>What kind of cardio do you do?
>Enjoy it?
Ask questions about cardio and answer other anon's questions.
>Pic related; firefighters need a fuckload of cardio
This might be a good question to ask here actually
I started biking again about 2 and a half months ago for cutting reasons and I've seen huge progress. But it's now nearing winter, and I live a little further North than most. Does anyone bike outside in the winter? How is it?
>>39279215
I'll start.
>Runnerfag
There's a dirt track near me, so I try to run on it at least once or twice a week.
Kinda boring though, so I'm looking for something new.
Just found an old skipping rope. It's a nice one; I think my sister brought it along wit some other expensive shit when she was "totally gonna get fit". Plus I hear boxers use them a lot.
Anybody got any infographics on them? Or ways to exercise? I'm not sure if I should just jump rope for a while, or if I should go all out for 2 minutes, rest, then repeat a few times.

Anyone here slow/clean bulking to minimize fat gain?
Goal lbs/week?
Calorie surplus?
Macros?
>>39279188
OXY
>>39279188
I cycle my macros and calories, so my goals are:
Rest day:
2500cal, 200g protein, 100g carbs, 140g fat
Workout day:
3700cal, 225g protein, 520g carbs, 75g fat
This works out to a 3200cal average when working out 4 days a week, which for a 6'7" guy is a slow bulk.
I don't really have a goal lbs/week - my goal is to consistently set PRs in the four major lifts every week.
>>39279925
How long have you been doing this? Do you think macro cycling is effective for minimising fat or is it just some "optimisation" thing?
What are some tips for making sleep gains?
Bedtime ritual m8. Some nice chamomile tea or a shower.
Try to unwind for a while before sleep. No heavy meals or lifting too close to bed time. Read a book. Avoid screens. Get used to going to bed at same time.
>>39279156
How long does this bedtime ritual need to be? 30 minutes? I've heard of what you're talking about before
>>39279163
I'll give that a try, I just need to figure something out. I would love to get a consistent 9 hours a sleep a night atleast but I just can't get it down.
Made all his video's private and pretty much deleted everything from it.

i'm still here. i'll make videos again eventually.
i decided to set the others to private because i didn't think anyone would notice or care and i don't want normalfags to watch them.
that version of goodbye always chokes me up
>>39279284
can you please do a collab with Jojan?
>>39279303
i'm pretty sure he's dead m8
the middle of my back hurts, it's weird, like when i arch my back a certain way, and it's a weird kind of hurting, my reflex to it is to tense my core
I did incline press for the first time, i arched my back a bit like it was a flat bench, is that why i hurt myself?
other new exercise i did was dumbbell rear lateral raise (reverse fly) but it seems incline bench would be the culprit
advice pls
>>39279040
I came to this thread only because of the tits that you posted. I care not to read the content of your post.
Don't arch your back doing incline bench
>>39279050
here's more my dude
I have serious hip pain when squatting. Should I lay off the squatting for a couple of weeks and focus on stretching everyday?
>>39279016
I had this problem so i'll speak from my experience
Pain wasn't coming from inflexibity but rather not 'activating' my glutes enough. By experimenting with stance width and foot angle, and trying to push my hips forward in the concentric phase (and squeezing glutes), the pain went away and my squat went up.
How serious are we talking anon?
And yeah, it would probably be a good idea to stretch and rest for a little bit.
With luck you may only need a single week to get back at it.
>>39279025
Should I stop doing deadlifts too?
I'm a dyel that has never touched a barbell. Should I get a trainer for the first month so I know what the fuck I'm doing? Also so that I don't break my back because of shit form
>>39278989
Depends.
Maybe only buy 1-3 training sessions and have him work with you on form.
If you have him train you he will probably give you a few mesocycles of babyweight, which is really pretty much counterproductive to anyone looking to lose weight, build muscle, or get stronger.
>>39278989
dirty daddy BOB SAGET
Read Starting Strength or the Stronglifts website pages on form and take some form videos of yourself.
The problem with getting trainers is that a) they will try to sell you on routines that use machines to justify the gym spending money on them, and b) there's no assurance that they use/can instruct with proper form themselves
>tfw dad was a bodybuilder
>tfw he taught me how to lift
>tfw we would lift together at home
>tfw we buried him 6 weeks ago
>tfw havn't touched a weight since
>tfw whenever i walk into our weight room i can picture him there
>il never see him again
>>39278909
He passed the touch to you before he died, stop being a faggot and go lift like he would have wanted you to
>>39278909
Sorry to Heat that anon, that sounds absolutely devastating.
Maybe you should try to use his memory to become the best version of yourself and then later pass that to your own son if you plan on having one.
Again, really sorry to hear that.
