/fit/ need help.

I currently do about 1500 crunches and my abs look ok but even with low bf they could be more cut.

So tonight i started trying hanging leg lifts and it feels more effective.

The question is how long should I attempt this new workout before I notice a difference? My fear is I will drop the crunches in favor of this and lose my current abs if it's ineffective

You're not doing enough crunches.

Don't do hanging leg raises, full flexed planks, ab rollouts. Just do more crunches. You're wasting your time doing anything else

Crunches waste time. Leg raises do much more, but keep your form strict. The slightest bit of swinging or momentum is going to rob you of precious muscle building work. DYELs do this shit on dip bars all the time, kicking each rep out it quick succession. It's like how kipping is for pullups.

Kipping is for DYELs and crossfags. Don't kip your shit.

I just drove home in shame from a girls place because I couldn't get a boner, and I'm kind of freaking out. This was after a year of no sex.

I had a horrible year with acne, and it tore my confidence to pieces. After consulting many dermatologists, cleaning my diet up and ridiculous amount of time in developing a skincare routine, it not only cleaned up my acne but I was forced to revisit every little aspect of my life that may have contributed to it. So I'm unfit and fat, and I've started going to the gym recently.

When I've been doing arms (biceps, triceps) I've only been feeling it in my forearms. To my knowledge I'm doing the exercises right.
Is this normal?

You don't have to squeeze the shit out of the dumbbell. When doing curls, hold the bar just tight enough in your hand that you keep your grip and let the weight bend your wrist down. It shifts the focus to the bicep. Also ur forearms might just be lagging so sometimes it's better to grind out the sets where ur forearms burn to get that grip strength and forearm size. I really like the mint chocolate chip quest bars. Especially if you microwave it a bit.

I normally don't post that much but I just lost a good buddy to depression.

No one could see it coming, and I thought it was a prank when I was told. Part of me still thinks he's gonna pop out of no where and say it's all a joke and I'm a total fag for crying the past few days.
But reality is sinking in.
Anyway I never took these threads seriously, and I always thought depression was some sort of meme.

The best thing to do is to forget it. Nothing can change what happened. I'd tell you to organize yourself, choose a couple activities you enjoy/are good for you and do them early in the day. It'll keep your mind off things. If you're the kind of person who likes self-help stuff, it may also be a good idea to listen to some brian tracy or tony robbins, if it has an effect on you.

College isn't all it's worked up to be man. you'll find a group of friends you like, it just takes time. Don't rush things, friends and girls will find their way into your life.
Try letting people a little closer, and just try to keep a good attitude. If others know you're making an effort they'll give you a chance.
But what it comes down to is you having to change yourself. You have to try and be nice to people, and remember that they could be going through things in their personal life as well.

I can't imagine the thought of my father dying, much less taking his own life. Just keep pushing through bro, you'll always have /fit/izens to help you out.
